The Tennessean AD says Vandy, Coach Committed!

James Franklin is committed to building Vandy into an SEC legitimate power. Vandy is writing the checks to build the program now that they have found the right coach for the program. If Stanford can produce a top ten football program being a small academic school then so will Vandy.

Vandy will never be a real threat in the SEC East for the foreseeable future let alone a SEC power.

I've always felt this same way until I got to know James Franklin and how he has transformed the culture at Vandy. I'm sure you will keep believing until Vandy and Franklin proves it. And that's find by them!

Franklin is a stud. He'd kill it at Tennessee.

Props for sticking with Vandy of that's where his heart is

Committed until a bigger school comes calling.

It will happen sooner than later.

Thats just coach talk. Once big programs start calling, he isn't going to stay at Vandy. I'm not singling out James Franklin either, its that way with every coach. Franklin is probably going to win 8 games with Vandy, he is going to get great opportunities, better than the current options right now.

Or just one with a bigger in-state recruiting base.

People would have said the same thing about Stanford a few years ago FWIW.

Tennessee's instate base is not as bad as people think. Keith Nuebuhr just wrote an article about how good the Tennessee pipeline is becoming. Saban has taken one or Tennessee boys the past 3 years.

six to seven wins is GOLD at Vandy

would get you fired at other programs, agreed he does need to stay at Vandy.

Stanford beat #2 USC in Harbaugh's first year. Vandy hasn't beaten a team with a winning record.

Yes but Stanford is located in a bigger talent pool than Vanderbilt. I think that helps Stanford.
