His side of the story is apparently that he tried to get in between his girlfriend and the girl he knocked out, who were fighting.
Sounds like she got crazy, he hit her, and her friend backed up the bogus story.
Mills could be lying as well, but his side makes a lot more sense.

yea, Its likely the girl hit the other girl and Mills just happened to be in the middle.

His story is more reasonable than opening up the door, chasing down the girl and popping her in the mouth. I have seen his side play out in many fights.

No one said that, but if that is how it went down then the circumstances drastically changed and the charges WILL be reduced at the least if he gets his girlfriend and anyone else there to back up his story.
