Without Henry, Bama loses about 4 games. Thats why Henry was Heisman. Coker is extreme average and hasn't been required to win a single game. His running ability is his best attribute. Kiffen deserves credit for what he's done with that.

I think you mean "without the Alabama defensive line"..

The DL is great but someone has to score points and it can't always be with pick-sixes and PR TDs.

Good, solid, gutsy game manager who can make some good throws when we need him and nothing spectacular. In other words, exactly the type of QB that has won most of Alabama's national titles in the modern era, with the exception of AJ's senior year.

Yeah as much as I hate the game manager label for selling QBs short it's appropriate for him. It doesn't get more game managery than handing off to Henry 40 times a game.

He is a great scrambler like Blake. I think if you put this year's Coker on last year's Bama team there is not much drop off

well..Alabama averages TOP is 37:21.. which is top-5 and Alabama is #1 in fewest first downs allowed (13.5/game) and top-5 in opponent 3rd down conversion %.

on the other hand Alabama is 93rd in converting 3rd downs, 37th in first downs, etc.

i'd say its pretty obvious that the defense is wearing teams down.. then the bama offense sparks against tired competition and scores once or twice very quickly and puts the game out of reach

Figuring it out ain't the hard part...stopping it is.
