They just flag big hits now and come up with what to call them later.
Truth. And the LSU player saw the Aggie WR coming and was just caught flat footed. That was a textbook block.
So it would be legal if the WR took the DB's knees out? Was absolutely not targeting. Standing over the LSU player, while not a penalty, was stupid and probably drew the refs attention to figure out what flag they could throw.

His shoulder were square with the Los, and he looked right at him before the hit.
Like Kirby said, nfl players would rather be hit high than low.

I'm trying to remember if he got popped for the block and targeting or just targeting. I think the "blindside" aspect just establishes the fact that he was a defenseless player. Either way I thought it was the correct call.

I think some of these bullshite calls were introduced so the refs could have an even bigger impact on the games. Targeting, especially, is broken.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I’m starting to agree with you on this. This season, e, has been inexcusable.

You can’t just camp out in the middle of the field and get a penalty for being absolutely brain dead. Because that’s what happened. Walker was so confused on the play. But he gets rewarded.

This. On air “rules experts” refuse to their job because their ref buddies might get upset.

The LSU players (like 15 of them) approached two aggies who were warming up in their correct area, and a tigah shoulder bumped one.

Against Mississippi State Montrell Johnson blocked a guy who was looking right at him (and even braced for the impact) and refs called it blindside.
