The 2013 NFL Draft is in the books, and the disparity between the SEC and the other FBS conferences is staggering. Sixth-three SEC players were drafted among the 254 picks, which accounts for nearly 25 percent of the selections. The next closest FBS league is the ACC, with 30 picks.
We'll take this time to give a shout-out to NFL scouting departments who mine talent beyond the FBS level. Thirty-six prospects taken in the draft played for non-FBS teams. Meanwhile, the Big Ten's performance was exceptionally bad—it had the fewest draft picks among the six BCS conferences.
CONFERENCES
SEC: 63
Non-FBS teams: 36
ACC: 30
Pac-12: 28
Big 12: 22
Big East: 21
Big Ten: 20
Conference USA: 8
Independents: 7
MAC: 7
MWC: 7
Sun Belt: 4
Talk back to this stat with your 1 player a team bullshite which takes into account using old men back ups begging to be on the travel roster because their uncle is the asst wr coach.
The above is what has been and is happening.
Ouch

Last year.
Goofers suck at football. They're hockey school in the most dominate hockey state for high school talent. Wait why we talking about dem groundhogs again.

7 in a row is pretty darn impressive. beyond my wildest dreams. Shoot, I want the streak to continue so bad I am willing to pull for Florida if they play for it!

I guess it's a good thing you have the SEC to latch on as a whole since you just went out of conference and got your arse whipped by Clemson,. A couple of years ago Boise State kicked the shite out of Georgia at home.
ha, Go SEC!!

This is a down year in the SEC versus the past few and anyone who tries to claim otherwise is kidding themselves.

Damn that picture is cruel but I love it. Funny shite there.

probably already been written, but just remind him that Carolina is undefeated against tOSU and we've even played twice since 2000...so it's not like we're counting games from 50 years ago.

funny thing is bomber the country can remember every SEC loss OOC. We cant win em all. We cant calculate all our OOC wins. I think Miles is like 40-2 or some shite I don't now. Plus Clemson has a good team.

I just believe that we are acquiring the coaching and talent to play at the level of the top SEC teams.
Until you are beating out SEC schools in SEC states for top recruits, you are not acquiring the top talent.
Hell, we took the SEC's best punter from your own backyard (Kaser is from Strongville, OH)

Stoops is getting Ohio kids that Ohio State isn't after. He's hurting other Big Ten teams and MAC teams. When uh pulls players we are serious about ill worry about that.
Yeah, I'm pretty easy going. No jimmies to be rustled here. I understand your feelings about Urban Meyer but he was the best available and the hope is that his strong Ohio ties will help take of the other stuff.

Buckeye - this is what I told my buddy and he finally got it.
Nobody in the SEC doesn't think tOSU isn't good. Its just that there are time periods where yall will be unchallenged for long periods.
I finally asked him, rather than dogging Big 10, I said what if you were in SEC. He said I think we could compete, I said ME TOO! We agreed! That's the difference. If tOSU was in SEC it would be a player in the mix of Bama, LSU, Ga, Fla, SC, A&M, and teams that are down that have won championships.
There is a difference in a team that is down like a Minnesota and an Auburn or Tennessee. Auburn and Tenn are coming back boy and you better believe it.
He got it.
I said that is what makes SEC fans so united. Its not that Oregon couldn't win on a given day. Its that they would have to be deeper to get through this conference with all these NFL guys and close games and injuries and are beat the hell up even if you survive.
So when a team says we beat Mich and NW - forgive us when we say we played LSU, Bama, Fla, Ga, A&M etc. Because the team we are playing could win, but they likely would not have made it there. THAT is the point.
You wanna beat Bama twice if your Florida?

That's one year and a historically bad draft year for the Big Ten. If you research further you will find that the SEC has 32.9 players per team on NFL rosters and the Big Ten has 30.5. Still to the SECs advantage but a lot closer than the one year average you chose to use.

Apparently you have never looked at Ohio State recruiting because if you had you would realize that your statement is incorrect.

I think you made a fair argument to your friend and backed it up with logic instead of the stupidity that we sometimes see in these threads. Kudos to you.

I'm only recalling the 2 GA games that were on National TV and that I listened to the SEC fanatics describe to me for weeks before how things were going to go.
The Boise game was exceptional. They literally ran them out of their own stadium!
I guess it's getting tough to argue anymore that Clemson isn't very good since they regularly kick the SEC's arse.
It's all cool though. I rarely post anymore. I never knew about having 14 favorite teams!!
