A lot closer than you think it is when you do the numbers by team average since the SEC has 14 teams and the Big Ten has twelve.

Don't tell us how close it is. Tell us who wins. Bet it ain't the Bigwhateveryouare.

Funny coming from you and the "traditions" your school and fan base have.

It's about 1 player per team more in favor of the SEC. Wow. Huge advantage there.

No. They cheated. Not their rightful spot. They CHOSE to forgo bowl eligibility. Nobody told them they could not go. It was THEIR choice.

If you get beat 21-20 do you lose? yep. One plyer per team going to the NFL actually IS a big diference. How many players per team average for each conference?

No what traditions are? Glories of the past. Which is where Ohio States best years are....in the past. Unless they cheat, that is. Look. Nobody made you hire the coach. Nobody made him cheat. You want to claim some special priviledge of respect based on a succesful year in which you cheated to get there? Sorry. You got caught. Bet it wasn't an isolated case. Don't look for respect where none is due. The SEC has dominated college football...and the SEC has dominated Ohio State. You can prove you are worthy when you learn how to beat a good SEC team. So far you have failed miserably. but that's ok. So has the rest of the country.

You want to talk about tradition? The SEC has won the last 7 Natty's in a row. care to tell me the last time ANY conference has come close?

What was wrong with Gee?

OP: titles games, bowl records, no sec speed, overrated, looked like shite last night and vulnerable, soft team. You can always ignore the guy....

How can he talk shite after that game last night. If anyone is overrated it's tosu. Not a top 5 team, not even a top ten team. You have all this talent, a top 5 recruiting class and you can't get a statement win over the 2nd best team you will play all year long. The damn qb runs to much, you take out your best RB in place of someone unproven this year but was good last year, your secondary and best CB (potential first round pick) gets blown up versus a white boy who while very talented, is a walk on, you play conservative the second half and don't go for the kill. Frick this shite man. This team is garbage and Urban can't control his team. This is a rose bowl team and if they get in the title game, we'll be a lamb like notre dame. This wasn't suppose to be a meltdown but frick it the truth has got to come out. Terrible arse game.

He claims NW is good.

I felt the best thing is a stat on nfl players by conference. what is the best ammo against a tOSU fan trying to claim SEC overrated?

Did he say the SEC was overrated or USCe is overrated?

I don't know how many complete teams there are in the SEC this year, there may be none. There are some good QBs, and some very good offenses.

NW may be a really good team, but I don't know if they would beat a team like LSU straight up, if we were to assume both were the 3rd best team in their respective conferences.

Sorry. I thought we were in full harrass mode. My apologies.

How about them Gophers? man. What are they now, 4-0? Not too shabby! I don't remember the last time they had a good team. They're looking pretty good right now, though. haven't looked at their schedule, but 4 wins is 4 wins. Wasn't that long ago when 4 wins for Minnesota was a whole season!

Last time it was close was when Nebraska won the 1994, 1995, and 1997 titles.

However, the Big 12 could only claim the 97 title because they were the Big 8 until 1996.

Who'd a thunk it, but you just might be right. I don't know if we all just shipped our defenses out this year, or what. Great offenses right now, but we can't stop anybody! Believe me, a Georgia fan knows about no defense!

Nah. It's just conversation. I'm not trying to claim anything Big Ten over the SEC. I completely understand the current state of college football.

I just believe that we are acquiring the coaching and talent to play at the level of the top SEC teams. I don't think we are there yet but I do believe the gap is closing.

The funniest thing about the Big 10 is their ridiculous rivalry names and trophies. Nothing like seeing Minnesota and Purdue throw down in the Battle for Babe The Blue Ox's Neutered Testicle!

Lol. Now that's hilarious.....

Whoops. Well, they had a good run going!

But seriously...4 wins in a row? I wonder when the last time they did that was!

And you might be. But Meyer will more than likely get you into trouble. And, believe it or not, Kentucky is making inroads recruiting up there. They usedto stay out of Ohio, but Stoops has them poaching some of your players. Now, can he do it consistently? Only time will tell. But Kentucky fans are pretty excited about it.

And, tradition is important. I always cringe when a SEC team plays Ohio State because of the reputation, and that only comes from tradition.

But crap, guy, you are taking all the fun out of this thread! I was really looking forward to rustling your jimmies!
