As far down playing Mason, he had more yards per carry both of his last 2 seasons than Henry did his. One of which was the 2012 season. Both of which he still averaged more than Ingram did his last year.

Hardware the past 10 seasons:

Alabama RBs
Heisman x2
Maxwell
Camp
Walker x2

Arkansas RBs
Camp
Walker x2

So yeah, we definitely beat Arkansas.

You people keep regurgitating that our RBs aren't worth a damn in the league, but Ingram and Lacy have done a fine job, and Yeldon led the team in rushing. Ingram was named to the pro bowl, and landed a top 10 RB contract in the league. Lacy was rookie of the year, had back to back 1000+ yard seasons, and even as a fatass riddled with injuries this year - he had over 900 yards from scrimmage. Both have been exponentially better than Mason.

Literally the only RB we've had drafted who wasn't worth a damn when considering where he was drafted was Trent Richardson.

It has been 10 years since Auburn had a RB go for 1000+ in the NFL.

Arkansas is not even in the running. UGA or Bama would be the finalist

And WTF have any of them done in the NFL?

You might as well rename McFadden and Jones both Trent Richardson.

Auburn hasn't produced a good NFL back since Ronnie and Cadillac.

If the criteria is conference awards nobody will touch bama, they have preseason conference guys get ranked before they do anything in college. Awards are handed out by people, stats are earned.

I'd take Tre Mason over any RB Saban has fielded at Bama.

Not Derrick Henry. Trey Mason was an excellent RB. Underrated. But Henry had a year that was off the charts last year.

I saw not long ago where Auburn has had the most rb and fb drafted of any SEC team all time.

You really don't even deserve a reply because you clearly went full retard in this thread, but Tre Mason absolutely was a dominant SEC running back. The guy rushed for over 1,000 yards with Scot Loeffler calling the offense in 2012, and we all know what he did in 2013.

Stephen Davis
Rudi Johnson
Carnell Williams
Ronnie Brown
Kenny Irons
Ben Tate
Mike Dyer
Tre Mason
Cam Artis-Payne

Nobody outside of Auburn, AL thinks Tre Mason stacks up with anything Bama has produced since 2009. That's all.

I wouldn't say "nobody", but I do agree with him. As good as Tre Mason was, he was a notch (Or two) below Derrick Henry. I think MOST reasonable people would have to agree with this.

Yes he was. One of the very best of the past 5-6 years.

But it was an Auburn fan that said Mason was better than any back Saban has put on the field. That would be full retard.

Arkansas or Bama obviously has the case for RBU this past decade. If spanning multiple decades, though, Auburn has a case for RBU.

Was curious....

What school leads the league in 1k yard rushing seasons since 2000?

What school has produced 2 of the 3 players who have rushed for 1,000 yards their first three seasons in the SEC?

What school was named RBU by ESPN in 2014?

Yea, all our running back recognition in college is built on hype. Makes sense.
