That’s getting technical. What OU did is no worse than a reverse, flea flicker, or fumblerooski.
The rule was penned into the rulebook before last weekend. It's supposed to be technical. If you don't get that then I don't know what to tell you.
A flea flicker is not illegal.

Thanks for keeping posted. Bams are dependable if for nothing else than being eaten up with concern about little brother.

I think we should keep this thread alive. Remind people how many mongoloids on this message board don’t understand the basic substitution rules of football.

It’s been almost a week since that game was played. In that span of time I have heard this play was both legal and illegal. I don’t know what is what and I don’t really think anyone else does either. You would think if anyone knew the SEC would but how many plays have we watched them butcher over the past few years? To be honest I thought the play was a legal play. As the sport of the game goes it’s being no more deceptive than any other trick play. Why it would be illegal should be the controversy. If someone on defense or on the sidelines would have counted the OU players then we wouldn’t be talking about this.

Except the conspiracy theorists are the ones saying a player didn’t turn around to face the other endzone while meandering to his own sideline, simultaneously undoing his gloves and chin strap.
Everyone else acknowledges it was an illegal play that an incompetent officiating crew didn’t recognize.

Except the police have video evidence and clearly identified the perpetrator. The Attorney General is pissed that Barney Fife fricked up the paperwork.
Your analogy sucks.

Let me ask you a fair question. Were you this outraged a few years ago when the refs butchered the Bo Nix spike that was actually a lateral and cost Arky the game?

bama fans still say Chris Davis stepped out of bounds on the Kick Six.

You intended to run a play that the SEC not only ruled illegal before the season, but communicated to the coaches that it was a point of emphasis to eliminate?

Were lateral passes an SEC officiating point of emphasis procedure penalty or was that an officiating mistake in the heat of the moment?
