That's as good a reason as any. The posters that know the least about football post constantly like they know who should coach or play. The closest most come to a field is the stands.

I assume its more just that he's very distracted and in shock by it right now and doesnt feel he can give a 110 percent effort to the team this year as OC. That job in the SEC along with just finding out you got this disease would be really hard to handle IMO.

I would not be surprised to see him take back over the OC position in the near future. You may be right in that it is just the initial shock. I remember my mom bawling crying when they told me and my wife about my dad. A few years later, and it's nothing more than a pain in the arse distraction that you deal with. Eventually, he won't be able to take care of himself, but that is years and years down the road. They have medicine that regulates the tremors to an extent. One drawback is they make you very drowsy and sick to your stomach if not taken at the right time.

No, but it makes life difficult. Michael J Fox has had it for years. It's not fatal though.
I have dystonia. It's often misdiagnosed as Parkinson's and has many of the same symptoms, but is much less severe.
Krags is in for a tough road though and many prayers sent as he prepares to take it head on.
