Quite frankly the problem is he didn't deserve the job. The iron will never be hotter than the day we went to the second final four but we still ended up with the coaches son. That's a screw up.
As for the roster: Peep my response from the 9th. I dont talk out of both sides of the mouth. I am the realest Auburn fan out there.
So what do you think? I have little issue with the roster. It's not strong but I told you it wouldn't be. Law of averages will iron out to 11 new players yielding a mixed bag of hits and busts.

This team is not bottom of the barrel. The top 7 isnt anyways.
Keyshaun Hall is a premier scorer and will be a G League guy.
Sway- Future NBA guy
Jovic- potential 4 year Auburn fan favorite
Pettiford- all the talent in the world
Freeman, Overton, and Murphy have talent but only shown flashes.
If you think this roster is bad it can definitely get worse.
Our roster is better than A&M's.

Exactly. But considering by your own critique of our roster, we only have two, at most 3, future NBA players and two of those are freshmen. Taking a roster like that, playing the toughest schedule in America, and somehow managing to not lose a single game to a team outside the projected field through your first 24 games as a head coach is worthy of praise. He’s done a fantastic job thus far, all things considered.

He can prove me wrong and I'll accept then, but it will require successful seasons in the future to accomplish that. It rubs me wrong that he was defensive coordinator last year and our defense looks pretty lazy against the better teams this year. Team outshoot their averages against us and that makes me wonder if he is struggling to get his player's attention in practice.
Last night you didn't see Vandy look exceptional at anything but ball distribution, but for the most part they looked to be playing at a higher energy until the last 5 minutes of the game. We have to get back to that.

We don’t have a true PG
It's honestly kind of wild that this has been Bruce's achilles for most of his time there (previously).
Poor guard play and a weak OOC schedule always seemed to bite him come tournament time, and I thought he had finally worked both issues out the last couple of years by bringing in elite backcourt talent and putting together one of the best schedules in the nation.
And then here we go again with weird guard play, which is a killer in March.
(By the way, we certainly have our own issues, and this is meant just as an observation, not a troll.)

I would say the issue with Bama is that can only win when they shoot good.
Teams that make deep tournament runs seem to find different ways to win.
Don’t get me wrong, Alabama shoots the ball great most nights. It’s just that when you play in tournaments sometimes the ball does not want to go in.
We shoot poorly for long stretches of many games.
I guess we beat Florida and Arkansas so we have potential, but at times it is painful to watch us go several minutes without a bucket.

Yeah, and that over-reliance is probably a result of our big situation.
Nate's achilles has probably been consistently missing on that one frontcourt piece that ties it together, either as a rim protector or someone who can attack down low.
The guys he brought in to help during the offseason have either been atrocious or perpetually injured.
A long as we are, we just can't match up against teams with a big physical presence inside like Florida, which means we're eventually in trouble in March if we have an "off" shooting game.

Downside for Auburn: Pettiford hasn't really panned out as a PG and is struggling this year despite the last two games
Good for Auburn: his NBA audition is going poorly so he probably comes back next year and Auburn has a really talented three year starter! You can probably bring in a true PG and have him return to his primary scoring role
