These people sure get angry when you point out that their football team also refuses to show support for their country.

If neither team is out there for the national anthem, no big deal. If one team is out there standing respectfully during the national anthem and the other team is in the locker room, then it is a very bad look and pathetic.
The LSU fan has it right. Sidewalk, take some notes

So you're saying LSU should ask the other team if they plan on appearing for the anthem and then base their decision on that?

Don't know what happened and really don't care because I don't watch women's basketball. The general consensus I've seen on social media is that LSU women's basketball somehow disrespected the national anthem. Not sure how they come to this conclusion, but not a good look for LSU

Neither the USC or UConn teams were on the court for the national anthem prior to the other Elite Eight game on Monday night.

When anyone else does it, it's cool. When LSU does it, it's a "bad look".

The WBB team just has a lot of people in their feelings so they're looking for something to whine about.

As noted, they did the exact same thing your football team does every Saturday.

They've done the same thing for 3 years, so have multiple other teams.

Should ask when they go out for the first shoot around what time it will be sung and be on the court lined up when they are supposed to.

Difference between actually leaving the court during the anthem, and just being in the locker room at the time. The first is disrespectful, while the second is simply unfortunate.

If they were already in the locker room then few would notice or remark on it

Only difference is in your head. Crazy how worked up you people have gotten over this... definitely an election year.

A lot of teams remain in the locker room for the anthem.

LSU has done it for years, funny how everyone is suddenly freaking out today.

But that did not stop Landry from taking aim at third-year Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey.

"My mother coached women’s high school basketball during the height of desegregation, no one has a greater respect for the sport and for Coach Mulkey," Landry posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. "However, above respect for that game is a deeper respect for those that serve to protect us and unite us under one flag!

"It is time that all college boards, including Regent, put a policy in place that student-athletes be present for the national anthem or risk their athletic scholarship! This is a matter of respect that all collegiate coaches should instill," he concluded.

Well, social media hates LSU because they hired Kim Mulkey, who is a MAGA insurrectionist type that hates homos, black people, and covid guidelines.

Social media also hates LSU because MAGA Kim Mulkey has lead her team to be a bunch of anti-american communist thugs who hate the flag and white people in general.

So........yeah.

She stated that she had no idea that a National Anthem would be played before the game and wanted to know if this was a new thing.

Add the governor of Louisiana to the list of simpletons who don't realize that college athletes remaining in the locker room during the national anthem is fairly common across many different types of sports.

I don’t believe you think it’s funny at all, it’s obviously gotten you wound up enough to post the same gif 15 times

Nb4 you count how many times you’ve actually posted it, followed up by another gif, and another statement of “it’s funny” followed by another deflection
