How is running an up tempo spread/whatever type of offense less legitimate than a pro style offense?

Lighten up, Francis. That's Square's opinion. He's entitled to his just like you are entitled to yours. I think most football fans - particularly those who play/played Defense - feel like Pro Style Offenses are more physical. Football, by its nature, is a physical game. Spread offenses are more finese, which is not in football's primary nature. It has evovled to that in some places, but that's not how football was player when it was invented...thus, Square's comments about the way the game is supposed to be played.

Why does the SEC win the NC every year with grown man football?

riiiiiiight. A spread-offense is not "grown-man fooball"? Auburn and Florida won 3 of those championships with the spread.

UGA needs to get the podcast of Pat Dye talking about the blackout game and saying bama was about to whip their arse because UGA wasn't man enough to do anything about it.

Yeah... that was 2002. And Bama lost.

Ding ding ding. Former player from Georgia, former coach of arch rival, calls out the Georgia players.

Somehow Georgia takes this to heart because they can't see the difference . .

Yeah, why do you always simply chalk up any success vis-a-vis the spread to the opposing team having a good QB? It is never they beat us or we were out coached. It is always some sort of insinuation that they cheated because they had good QBs.
