Funny thing that USC team's defense sucked. LSU would have dropped 30+ on that defense. LSU at the time had the first version of the blitz/press man coverage defense in college football. That was before the spread became popular to counter it. They gave up an average of like 15pts that season; something super low. That defense was the best I saw until 2011's defense. USC was not scoring on those dudes and we had some dudes on that defense.
