Yes if you thought NFL draft picks were a little bit of a gamble I think NIL money is going to be even more so of a crap shoot.
The vast majority of the players who were getting big money did jack shite this year, almost universally across the entire sport.

And you should have but LSU fell off a cliff (you still almost lost), Alabama choked on D (not defense) in ST and turnovers, the refs bailed you out in Auburn, and Aguilar went full tilt Chernobyl in the first half gifting you 13 points while Tenner missed a FG too.
