of our teams early in the season based on the results of the first couple games. Last week, coming off the Missouri win, I was convinced we’re going 11-1 and beating Florida. Then the Chattanooga game happened and now I’m not sure we can beat anyone left on our schedule and the Gators are going to beat us by 50! Anybody else go through this?

I felt our season fell squarely on the shoulders of the oline. They've been a disappointment thus far. I'm not sure what to think honestly

No one else thought you were going 11-1.

That's why Week #1 is the biggest overreaction week of the year there is. Either people are thinking they're world beaters or their team's been world beaten.

Plus, teams DO change during the season...injuries, personnel, etc.

As a long suffering UK Football Fan - I watched the Mizzou game and said to myself - "Yep, they're better - but they're going to play UK Football all year and piss away win after win". After Week One - I figured if Mizzou couldn't get their attention, nobody would.

The Chattanooga game only reinforced that assessment. I expect them to step all over their own (insert opponents mascot here) on the way to losing to the 'Cocks on Saturday.

I tend to agree. For some reason I think we’ll either lose the game or beat them handily. If it’s close, I give them the edge because we can’t seem to quit turning the damn ball over. It’s ridiculous that we rank 130 out of 130 in turnover margin. We’re 3-0, but 2 of those wins we’ve done everything in our power to give the game away.

That defense ain't producing turnovers - not with walking the outside CBs ten yards back. And sure as Hell not with that six to eight second pressure on the QB from three linemen while the whole defensive backfield plays soft and the linebackers drop into zones.

The offense ? I don't know - how do you trust Rodriguez when he will not ... absolutely will not - cover the ball. UTC was trying to strip him all day - and he's still carrying that damn ball like a loaf of bread. Levis is a poor man's Rex Grossman ... never saw a throw he couldn't make. Kid's a turnover machine.

If it was me ? Rodriguez sits. Allen starts at QB. And it's run first, play action second. And Robinson's playing time is completely proportional to how many times he drops open passes. Sure - less explosive plays. Also less plays where Kentucky pulls the pin on a grenade in their own foxhole.

I think UK fans need to relax. I think you will have a successful season and impress some

Might as well tell old school Cubs or Sox fans "it'll all work out". We've been conditioned. Institutionalized - as Morgan Freeman would say from inside Shawshank.

The first couple of weeks we short crossing routes, dump offs to the RB, pounding the football in the running game, etc. on offense. I thought boy, this is refreshing. Then against Pedo State, Bobo went full Malzahn with cutesy plays that backfired, a ton of WR screens, and didn’t stick with the run when it was working.

On defense, the first couple weeks we saw Mason coming after the QB. Against Pedo, we saw him not bringing any pressure and basically playing prevent defense the entire game.

So yeah, if the coordinators don’t get their heads out of their butts, my opinion for the season has taken a big nosedive.

Don't ask an LSU fan.

Because yes we got lots of opinions about our team. High ones.

Then the season starts. And then we claim we had no opinions ever.

Perhaps being 130th yet 3-0 sends a different message than the one you are receiving.

Let’s hope!! Cut those turnovers in half and we’ll be a load to beat.

Teams, like real people, have ups and downs every day, every week. No team plays at optimum speed and precision, all the time, regardless of talent.

And when they don't, there usually isn't much room for error. Especially if the other team is having a great day.

It's almost like real humans are making up these football teams. Imagine that?

That’s sorta true Tigerfan Hog. We had several years where we didn’t even get the early season pump up, example would be the Chaggy years.
