This is different then what Ross is saying.

Not really.

I just find it interesting that after 1 game we are ready to call Chizik a bust. I want to see how this whole year unfolds. Everyone acts like we played Louisiana Monroe last night.

It wasn't a judgement passed based on one game.

Anyway, it's my opinion, I'm sure some people are still on the Chizik Pain Train.

FWIW I don't see anything wrong with putting a little heat under Chizik's arse for the defense to improve. He has pretty much been given a pass up until last year when it became really obvious. Most AU fans were glad to see Roof go and expected to see improvements across the board. I saw the same defense that has been on the field the past 3 years. Mediocre defense = mediocre season in the SEC

Hey all of you are welcome to put heat on the coach. It is my opinion that BVG has full control of the defense. I do not disagree Chizik assumes overall responsibility, but I want to see more football before dismissing him.

I may end up where Ross is about Chizik, but I will give him a little more then 1 game into 2012 to make that assessment. Just my opinion and me staying on the Chizik plain train a little longer. I just figure I bought my ticket for the year and want to see where we end up. No need to get off in Atlanta.

Auburn's defense has been soft, undersized and weak since Chizik has been there. Simple as that.

AU has a good DL but the secondary is a huge weakness for AU imo. I wasnt really impressed with Frazier's play last night either but cut him slack since it was his first start. I still think AU is a tough team and will win 8 games.

The secondary looked improved last night believe it or not. I expected more from the DL in particular the tackles (Ford and Lemonier had 2 sacks each). The real problem was tackling across the board and LB's not named Darren Bates.

Agreed on the undersized. Which is why BVG is going after big. That will change as we move forward.
