It's more a matter of fact than relevance. Do those early rankings mean anything now...probably not.

The end result of those early rankings though propelled them to where they are now...along with recent strong play. Again these teams are so close it's a tough call.

At the end of the day, ole miss has beat two teams that even after losing are still good enough to be considered a top 25 team. Can mizzou say the same?

No...they can not. Is it going to matter in the end is what I'm waiting to see.

I agree with that but the statement was he is by farrr the best back but running backs do more than run you’re looking at one aspect of his game.

At the end of the day Mizzou looked better during SEC play than Ole Miss, its that simple and its why everybody has Mizzou ranked ahead of Ole Miss

You can bitch and whine all you want....Mizzou looks like the better team.

Nothing will change that fact

I never called it incorrect data.

It is incomplete data.
Which makes it worthless.

Choosing worthless data to make a point on a message board is desperate and lacks integrity.

Nothing changes the fact that the data each week since week 3 is better and more refined.

That's the point of a 12 game season. To use all data points.
That's the point of a postseason.
To include better data points.

If he wants to focus on a week 3 ranking to make himself feel better, that's on him.
I'm certainly going to point out 3 months later that he is a moron. That's only good courtesy to help him learn and grow.

OK there, Sparky. It's funny how the final AP poll eradicates 90% of the fans who think like you (and there are never many of them)

I’m sorry that you are unfamiliar with college sports, but that’s a you problem.

He had 100 yards receiving against Tennessee.
On the same day he had 200 yards rushing.

The kid bleeds for Mizzou.
There is nothing stopping that kid from giving his all other than good sportsmanship when they are up.

Q is breaking Hershel Walkers records. Is Cody?

They are both incredibly talented in different ways. Acting like one is way better is a bit foolish. q has an actual future in the nfl

Lol

You are on an island, my friend.

Every year, there is only one of you (usually it is a Tennessee fan).

Don't be like the 1 Tennessee fan last year.

No, LSU was 13 when played and TAM was unranked. Clemson was 9 when Duke played them. You really are new to this, aren’t you?

It half worked. Lol

Missouri lost to LSU. Ole Miss did not.

I'm going to laugh when the committee puts us in front of Missouri for the final rankings and bump this thread so quick.

look at their freshman year rushing stats. Both hit 1000 yards in 9 games (q was not even the starting back in the beginning of the season). Beat walker in quickest to back to back seasons of 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Cody is a 6th** year senior. Q is a true sophomore.

His motives aside.

I agree on those early rankings...just no way to know how good a team is going to be that early. But those data points are used to either move you up or down the rankings depending on that teams performance going forward.

So beating a ranked team early in the season does propel you upward so they are important data points not worthless imo.

Neither was Herschel.
Nobody started freshmen back then.
HW34 had zero touches in the first half of his first game.
He finished the season with 1616 yards in 10.5 games.

His second season was 1891 yards rushing in 11 games.

I'm not sure what your "fastest player to 1000 yards in back to back seasons" means.

You may have to explain that one.
