Are you this dense? You know not EVERY SINGLE good HS football player just follows the handouts right? Of our 20 current commits, 15 are from the state of Georgia. Believe it or not, and I know it may be utterly SHOCKING, but some of these guys just may have grown up watching and wanting to play for UGA. Crazy I know!

Using your logic every single HS recruit in america that's a high 3* or better would only want to play for about 4 different college programs. That isn't how it works.
Yea, but you don't do for free what someone will pay you to do.

I like this thread because it always gives me a chance to see which gumps are intelligent and which are not. Its the "Yeah we cheat like everyone else crowd" vs the "Saban would never let that happen" goobers. If you are of the former, I raise my glass to you.

Holy shite you really are that naive. It's adorable.

Do you think Isaiah Crowell is the type of guy that turns down money to play somewhere for free?

how are you this fricking stupid? Crowell is a handout guy, I've never said otherwise. I'm sure we did cheat to get him.

What about the other players we get? Ray Drew was a bama/UGA battle and he chose us. Call me crazy but I don't think the guy who was an ordained minister in HS that went on fishing trips with Richt chose us because we outbid alabama.

Damn some of you gumps have too much bama in you

Actually it is one hundred percent correct. The reason this is allowed, all student workers are given this privilege. Normal student workers aren't driving chargers but since they are allowed to drive university owned cars, so are athletes. As for free clothes see any athlete on a campus and they will be in athletic gear provided by the university. And then shoes, they just have rooms full of shoes athletes get. Remember when JJ was accused of stomping a guy he had over 100 pairs of shoes

I don't know if I have owned 100 pairs of shoes in my entire life.

New Dodge Charger cost: around $25,000.

Lease payments on said Dodge Charge: around $4,000 annually

Alabama cost of attendance stipend: 5385.00

Mystery solved

You're right. Nobody at Bama gets handouts.

Has Bama really never been investigated for this? Isn't he like the 5th high profile player to get a car?

I didn't say every battle was about the $$$. Do you think every battle Bama has won over UGA is because we paid and you didn't?

I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of a majority of UGA fans. "Hurr durr Bammer and Barn cheat. But we get our guys the right way."

well, they do. So do we. So does Auburn. So does pretty much any big time football school. That's pretty much a known fact isn't it?

The assertion that nobody would ever choose UGA over bama unless they were being paid is what is utterly ridiculous.

To be fair, I don't think Saban will offer any recruit anything let alone money, but that doesn't stop any rich booster from doing what he/she pleases.

Let's all be honest here. If you aren't a Vandy fan than your school OR people who support your school are giving handouts to recruits. Some schools are better/more aggressive than others but nobody barring Vandy holds any kind of moral highground on this.

Having said that, it doesn't mean this SPECIFIC kid was given money or that the money he was given determined his destination.

I would never make a statement that stupid, so no of course not. Bama is the best CFB program of all time, why would I think that lots of elite kids don't want to go there on the up and up? I'm sure tons do. Same with UGA.

Well, I'm not that fan. I DO think that under Richt specifically, although we DID cheat, wasn't nearly at the level as some other SEC schools. But I've never been naive enough to think that we are copmletely and totally innocent, we definitley aren't. In fact it's my hope that we start leveling the playing field so to speak by increasing our cheating.

Exactly, although I don't think many coaches actually hand out money personally these days. In the end you can never stop the boosters because the truth is, it gets results. So boosters won't stop doing it.

We all cheat, man. It's just funny how Bama kids can't wait to plaster their shite all over social media.

Bama's players aren't known for their brilliance off the field.
