It's pretty shitty how Florida basically gets two automatic wins in the SEC by playing Kentucky and Vandy every year. That's the only justification for expansion IMO. If Texas A&M is invited and goes to the SEC West, a much better program like an Auburn or Florida State will probably go to the SEC East. The gap between the two divisions would get significantly smaller.

That was probably the worst I've ever felt during or after a game. It was just brutal. Even worse than the Bluegrass miracle or anything.

Not quite, buddy. The game has been close most years. 2009 and 2010 were the only recent games where we just played like dog shite.

We have a winning record against FSU (beat them as recently as 07), and we just beat Auburn in 2009.

It might've even been 2007.....can't remember. I vividly remember watching that game (even though I can't remember the year ) and silently wishing we'd just chill out after the first or second blocked kick. Never have I ever wished mercy upon another SEC team before, but I still have the image of your coach trying to plead with coaches/players after each kick and just having a blank stare. I felt really bad.....that was a really weird, bittersweet game/feeling.

24 consecutive wins against Kentucky and 22 consecutive wins against Vandy is more than enough reason to call the two games automatic wins for UF. That's not to mention the fact that UF is also 17-2 against South Carolina since 1992. There isn't a single team in the SEC West that UF has dominated in that kind of fashion.

Some teams tend to play better in cross divisional games. I don't know why.

Wow, was that necessary? The few Gator fans on here try to keep it as non-douche as possible. It looks like you are in a hurry to frick that up.

Arky has never beat Florida......EVER

I know it's a smaller sample size, but that's still similar "domination fashion"
poor little piggies, if only reggie fish never existed......

Ole Miss: 3-3 record against Florida since 1992
Mississippi State: 4-4 record against Florida since 1992

vs.

Kentucky: 0-19 record against Florida since 1992
Vanderbilt: 0-19 record against Florida since 1992
South Carolina: 2-17 record against Florida since 1992

I don't think it's a reach to say that the Mississippi schools have been significantly more competitive than Kentucky, Vanderbilt and South Carolina since 1992.

You didn't even address the question. He said Bama, not Florida.

Sorry kitties, but I think is highly unlikely you all beat us. This is your last chance in a while though.

It was the 2008 game that was really painful to watch. All those blocked punts/kicks was brutal. I felt bad.

We won't be awful. We'll do alright. 6-6. Par for the course.

Sigh, is this going to turn into another "if UF was in the west they would lose more games" fail thread? :beatdeadhorse:

But you're not comparing apples to apples. You're comparing west teams that have played a handful of times against UF to teams they play every year. The comparison that I said, that actually makes sense, is the big boys in the west getting to play the perennially bad mississippi schools every year since 1992.

I would venture to say it also has a lot to do with how familiar you are with your opponents. Dominant East and West teams probably fare better against their same division due to the fact you play them each and every year and the games tend to be a little more important in terms of getting to the SECCG.

Maybe I'm wrong, and I am surely too lazy to look up the stats.

Exactly. UK generally does well against the West schools. Ole Miss and State do well against the East schools. I don't know why, but that's the way it is.

I agree, why would KY be so competitive against LSU?
