I didn't follow football closely enough during the Nutt years to even know who our coordinators were. I knew the names of our star players but that's about it. I didn't keep up with the Mitch Mustain stuff either. I still need to watch the documentary about it.

Are you a teenager or are you just admitting to being a shitty fan?

Gus is a good Christian family man. He fits in well with the Auburn Family. He lives the Auburn Creed-believes in Auburn and he loves it. Jay Jacobs has seen all of that in him and understands what that means, and no one understands how important the Creed is other than Jay Jacobs.

I don't think he is a shitty fan at all.

Arkansas has just really gone through a difficult moment in their history.

They are probably next in line to becoming one of the Big Six in the SEC.

I was a teenager then. And I liked basketball more than football because that's what I played. But now that I don't play I find it more fun to watch football than basketball.

That and basketball is just a free throw competition now with all the fouls. I should have invested in whistles.

I completely agree. I think he's done an excellent job under the conditions that he's having to work in. Hell, LSU is 2 states away from Alabama/Saban and can't keep their best kids from leaving for Bama. How can anybody expect Malzahn to compete when he's in the SAME state? Be realistic.

Can you really though? Just stick with Gus and let's see what happens over the next decade or so.

Malzahn has won an SEC title and went to the national championship in the midst of being in the same state as one of the most dominant dynasties in CFB history and maybe the toughest division in CFB as well.

He's doing OK. Great? No. But I don't see anyone else doing significantly better under the same circumstances.

Arky fans are obsessed over him.

Not obsessed. Just tried to help a brother out by warning you ahead of time, just like we did with Ole Miss and Nutt.

Carry on.
