No. He's had a bunch of biggest games. He has a good shot to get to Atlanta this year. I think that is a much bigger deal.
He has to go through Alabama to get to Atlanta.

If we play a good solid game and still lose I don’t think so. If we shite the bed and call a bunch of time outs and with the game on line call a quick out on the goal line and our QB throws the ball 19 feet out of bounds short of the goal line then yeah it’s a big deal. Even great teams lose to that man from Tuscaloosa.

I'm 50-50 on this game. This is a down Alabama team but it is still Alabama. We have to play a near-flawless game to win IMO. Foolishness as you mentioned has to be avoided.

Jimbo isn't getting fired, A&M owes him too much money A&M could go 8-4 and it will be spun as a massive improvement and "wait until next year."

Jimbo won't be fired off this game because there is a lot of season left. Could win the rest or he could drop a couple more. Had he lost to Auburn or Arkie he might be feeling some warmth. The Recruiting is still really strong though and the team is clearly improving so it's hard to fire him.

Money isn't the reason though. Say what you will about A&M but we don't have any cash issues, that AD and the school as a whole print money.

With absolutely zero doubt, his biggest “must win” game is next year against Texas.

One fanbase is going to leave that game angrier than a kicked hornet’s nest.

A&M isn't paying Jimbo's $75 million buyout plus his assistants plus a new coach and staff.

Full stop.

That's next season. Jimbo and the team have to put their full focus on each game as they come.

But I do agree Texas will be the biggest game of his A&M career.

This is one of Bama’s weakest teams. Aggies have beat better bama teams. I think that Aggie d will contain Milroe tomorrow.

This is certainly the worst the west has been in 20 years. This has got to be viewed as A&Ms year. If not this year, I don’t see them making a run before releasing Jimbo. The SEC is only getting tougher.

This is not true. Under the right circumstances the BMDs have said they will find the money. That being said they do not want to fire him. Recruiting is great and the Petrino hire has not played out.

One donor alone made the call to fire Sumlin after the disaster at UCLA. He said he would personally guarantee 100 million to get Jimbo. Obviously he did not do it alone, but he said he would

Let’s hope Dumbo wins so it helps him keep his job at least another year

I see Jimbo being fired next year when the Ags lose to Texas.

People say a lot of things.

The dude has performed worse than Dan Mullen, Ed Orgeron, and Kevin Sumlin yet still has a job.

Why is that?

If Jimbo Fisher is worth a damn, his team wins this game. It is perfectly setup for them to win it.

I mean they don't want to but they certainly could. Like I said A&M has our issues but money isn't one of them. Not only are we rich as frick we are getting a lot richer because of our size and how successful our alumni are. Doesn't hurt that the oil business is making stupid money either.

$85 mill or so to buy everyone out isn't trivial but for one thing that would get negotiated down and for another it would be spread out, absorbing $10 mill a year when you are running a $60 mill or so surplus annually isn't fatal, total revenue over $200 mill. Bjork probably gets fired too though.

Anyway, we aren't firing Jimbo. That said his contract isn't as bad as Kelly's and LSU is going to have a lot more trouble writing that check. He loses 3 or so more games this year and it's going to get very interesting.

Again, you say this but he's still employed despite posting worse results than his predecessor.

There is literally no reason for Jimbo's side to negotiate anything. The contract is fully guaranteed.

Lol wut?

How do you figure that?
