alot of people thought they might struggle in 07. uf lost alot on d. this year they pretty much bring everyone back and despite timmy boy having played all year he never started so it was easy to see the diff bt this year and 07 for them. UF will be tough

Ah frick it (insert my ridiculous level of homerism): LSU will crush UF this year, PAYBACK'S A BITCH. The masses of Death Valley will shake in triumph and rejoice, as Tebow takes the long sullen walk off the field, tear stricken

they are returning the known best qb in the sec.

I would argue Tebow is the best known QB in the SEC.....

i honestly think uga will compete. we arent gonna beat florida, but it will be EXTREMELY tough for lsu to come into athens and win.

really??? u do know stafford and moreno arent going to be playing at UGA next year, right? UGA is gonna make it a game but im very confident LSU gets out of Athens with a "W". I know wat im about to say is all shoulda coulda woulda stuff but i think LSU shouldve and woudlve won that game had Jarrett Lee just had an awful game. I mean that game was terrible even for his standards.

Yeah, we lost 9 starters on D. Lost a good deal some good players on O as well (Leak, Baker, Latsko, J Corn, Degory).

I fully expected us to go 10-2, 9-3 with an outside chance at the SECG. ended up 9-3, with a Heisman winner, embarassed ourselves several times that year. But Meyer got that team prepared for 2008, and look what happened.

Which is exactly why I think 2009 could be a resurgence for the LSU Tigersssssssss

well since tebow and snead will be gone after this coming year JJ could very easily be the best qb in the sec.

to me tebow is the clear number 1 guy and snead is behind him. then you have mallet and JJ. Mallet was pretty good at meechigan but we shall see how he does against the sec. He is also in a very favorable o with bobby p at arky.

I think this thread would be more accurately titled, "Is there any team that can challenge Florida for the SEC title?"

LSU should be improved, but Ole Miss is the early favorite to take the West. However, I don't think either Ole Miss or LSU will stop Florida. We'll see.

+1... if Florida stays hungry, they shouldn't lose.

Ole Miss is gonna score a lot of points next year, if their D stays solid under Tyrone Nix, they could take the West.

Same class as Tebow...

your right. I just looked it up snead will be a jr. Well even with that just bc tebow leaves wont make him the best. Though i think he could be. He is defiantly one of the best in the sec.

yea snead is a very good QB and he worries me. Ole Miss will shine again this year i think and probably make it to a decent bowl if not a BCS one because of him. Once Snead is gone, Ole miss is gonna fall right back where they were cause Nutt just cant recruit.

and back to florida, THE VALLEY WILL SHAKE AGAIN ON OCTOBER 10, 2009!!!

If any team is going to beat UF next year, they're gonna be a lot like Ole Miss. They'll get overlooked and play over their heads. LSU isn't going to be overlooked, which is why I think UF takes care of business. Who knows though, LSU could be a ton better than I thought.

yea i think LSU is going to be alot better than people think. i know alot of people out there are saying we are expecting to much out of this recruiting class, but there only part of the solution. I mean sure having r version of percy harvin(little slower but he can throw so) who we can use on that sweep florida always used with harvin but Shepard can throw the ball once hes out on the perimeter or just run if nothings there(kinda a new take on an option... interesting) but the main reason LSU is gonna be alot better i think is cause the defense will finally get its act together and understand the concept of a pass defense. Chavis a Cooper will bring a great D back to LSU. and Jefferson will be a pretty good QB from wat weve seen
