I think nine games is reasonable. A bunch of SEC teams have an annual out of conference game with a power five team and lots of others regularly schedule games with good OOC teams. If we add to conference games I suspect some of those would go away.

I'm still hoping we expand the conference to 16 teams in pods of four. Three games against your in pod group, one game against your rival, one game against a team in all other pods with two more games against teams in pods that don't contain your rival. I hate that we rarely get to play some teams in our own conference.

I'm not sure why east and west divisions are even needed anymore.
Drop the divisions and make a 9 or 10 game schedule and top two teams play in sec title game.

Won’t ban FCS games. That’s the lifeline for those programs to get a piece of the pie. Some FCS budgets would die if they had to get by without being a rent a win.

and that's the best chance that some good fans get to go to the games.

I realize some fans of other teams can't relate to that but it's a real problem at UA games. I used to be Tide Pride but I rarely go to any of the games anymore due primarily to the traffic hassle and just prefer to watch from the comfort of home, but some folks want to go but get left out due to the fact it's a good chunk of money for an entire family to go to a game these days. The cheap tickets for some out of conference games give them that opportunity.
