It's not just that Gus is likely to screw it up

It's also that even if Auburn wins, it doesn't really say anything about where we're going with Gus. He says one thing and does another, puts together a solid game plan one game then goes right back to tendencies the next, etc.

Tua injury took more steam/excitement out of this season than any injury I can remember. Not just at a competitive level either, but deeper more personal level as well.

This is it for me. Hope we win but just not as into it as I usually am.

CBS didn't even bother with the LSU-aTm showdown apparently.

What a hot, Gump take.

If being undefeated means one less weekend hearing Gary Danielson, I'll take it.

Alabama will still get into the playoff.

In years past, I would have said 100% for sure they do. But now, I'm thinking their chances are really slim af especially if Utah wins out.

Every team in the playoff era that has failed to win their conference has had a slim chance and had to rely on other teams having 2 losses. This year is no different than any other.

They're nil if Utah wins out. We need LSU to beat UGA, Oregon to beat Utah, and someone(Baylor?) to beat Oklahoma, and I think we're in. Assuming we beat Auburn.

I don't think we get in over Oklahoma if they win out.

Chances are pretty slim, but they've been pretty slim before and worked out for us. I'm not confident they will, but haven't give up all hope.

I don't think you'd be a lock with a 1-loss Big 12 champ baylor sitting there.

Your only hope is multiple champs having multiple losses, IMO.

Utah or OU will get the 4th spot once LSU puts down the Puppies in Atlanta, once again.

If Alabama fans were posting threads about how confident they were, it would diminish the win. The narrative has been set that Auburn is going to destroy Alabama.

Plus we have Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Seriously, we're all about to be together at family gatherings talking about the game all day Thursday.

To be fair, LSU fans don't really get that dynamic.

True, and I don't think there's any scenario where we are a lock. We'll have to be chosen over 1 or 2 other contenders in every scenario out there.

no one is even mentioning us. Leave it to LSU to bring up UGA in a thread about AU/UA

Auburn fans are super quiet this year. I agree. No one knows what will happen Saturday. Will bad Gus show up again? WIll Nix do anything? We are super disappointed with this season and it absolutely sucks to have to play the role of spoiler yet again. frick Gus.
