If the only way you can score points is to run a play every five seconds, I don’t fault the other team for doing whatever to slow it down

If your whole philosophy is to run hurry up the whole time you also wear out your own defense. That’s why, almost all of these teams suck on defense too

Ok. LSU’s defense is still better than Auburn’s.

Oh really? AU shut down a Power 5 HUNH spread team in the second half. L8U's defense faded hard against the same.

Why are you such a gimp pussy alter that you can't claim L8U as your team, yet still post on tRant Score Board?

Not necessarily.
If this were always true, Bama would have crushed Utah in 2008 and you would never see teams like GA State/BYU beating teams like UT.

If you sceme correctly, agile DLs can give big OLs lots of trouble.

Utah was much bigger/better up front than what you described, as is BYU. Also UT just really sucks.

Our defense isn't as good as I thought they were, but I don't see them giving up more than 30 every other game also.

Well...since the only top tier offense you’ll face in the SECw will be Bama, I’d say you’re right.

Could you imagine Arky putting 40 on you?

One way to stop the other team from putting up 40 is to keep the ball out of their hands.

This works until the team with the good offense goes up by a couple of scores...then things unravel quickly for the ball control team.

I think Saban realized this 5 years ago when he hired Lane Kiffin and understood that the spread, fast-paced offense wasn’t going away. He started recruiting smaller, faster LBs and DLs and got the best QB Bama has ever had on campus in Tua. Would you have ever believed Bama would become WRU and throw for more than twice as many yards as it rushed for against Duke?

Doesn’t mean he’s given up on a stout defense but I think he’s okay with scoring a lot of points and he doesn’t care where they come from.
