I came into this season with a hopeful 7-6. Being 5-1 right now after the last 10 years we deserve a little bragging time. I honestly believe we could go 8-4 (aub, SHS,Mizzou). You turds have to admit that would be pretty good for what amounts to a brand new everything in the football program.

We're ok. Doing decent for all the changes that have been made. We all know the potential, and until that potential becomes reality we're just another team. And that's ok for now. Schedule has been easier than what we thought, and that's what is stupid about pre-season polls.
I don't recall every detail off the top of my head, but I want to go back and look at Arky's schedule last year and who their big wins were against.
Missouri State - W
New Mexico - W
Troy - W
Bama - L
A&M - Win (big deal, we're just a middle of the road team.)
Auburn - W
Ole Miss - W
Vandy - W
USCe - W
Tenn - W
Miss St - W
LSU - L
Aside from USCe, was that schedule and the results worth No3 in the nation at one point? Doesn't seem like a ridiculously strong schedule to me.

So far this year, Texas A&M has been, arguably, UF's toughest game.
But UF was far more vulnerable in week 2 with a brand new QB than they were against LSU in week 6.
TAMU is a good team, we just don't know how good.

You can think Mizzou should be 6-0 with A&M's schedule if you want, it just makes you look like an idiot. Mizzou beat a middle of the road Pac 12 Team in Arizona State. Yay! You also got it pushed in by every SEC team you have played (Oh, but you outgained Vandy!)
If we play the "what if" game Aggies could easily say we were one or two plays from beating UF in the first week and being a Top 5 Team right now. That won't make it so though because WE DIDN'T make those plays and we lost.
How good is A&M? Still very hard to say, this week will tell us a lot. The team has some huge positives and some real concerns that mean it can likely beat just about anyone on a given day but it could also fall apart.
The depth is the biggest issue and it was exposed against La Tech. We rotated only 16 defensive players in a 5 hour game, that isn't good. Now we are getting 3 guys back for this week but that hardly indicates great depth.
Obviously there is the Manziel factor which is impossible to predict. Will he find a way to continue to step up big in spite of the competition or will he be exposed as an overrated Freshman that has feasted on poor defenses? No one really knows.
Aggies are happy because we have outperformed expectations and there is a lot to be excited about for the future. We have at least shown we are a middle of the road SEC team and that's not bad for Year 1, the question is if we can challenge for the next level. Most Aggies would say they certainly hope so and can see how it could happen but they don't expect it. Right now we are basically playing with House Money and having fun.
I will say this though. A&M is getting more pub now than they have in a long time, especially in Texas. We are making real strides in terms of perception both with fans and more importantly with recruits. The list of top Texas and Louisiana recruits that are going to end up at the game this weekend is long and impressive, the impact of a win over LSU simply can't be overstated. It also doesn't hurt that the folks in Austin are in complete meltdown right now and Mack Brown is in real trouble for the first time. You can sense that the sleeping giant is starting to stir just as it did in the '80s.
Still, the important part of the season is yet to come and all that pub can go as fast as it came. We will have to see but in the meantime it is a fun ride for a program that has had a lot of disappointment over the last decade plus.

Its basically impossible to dispute Mizzou would at least be 4-2 with Tamus schedule if you're being a fair fan, not a troll douche. You're a waste of time, I'll take the fact that a solid poster like Beer Bryant agrees on this that I'm right.
Wow....you're a forkin genius, Pyle!
On a serious note, how can ANY of you guys take this troll, mograyback, seriously? I mean, he has a picture of che in his sig line, for crying out loud. He's a douchebag socialist & deserves a permaban on those grounds alone.

All BS aside, aTm has every reason to be hopeful and proud. They have a bright future with a much earlier arival to SEC success than expected.
I still think they are fricking weird-o's.....

I for one think aTm is a mid-tier team who has potential to compete for mediocrity within the SEC.
I think you are seriously wrong. There is a whole lot of talent in Texas and aTm now stands to get more than it's share. They will have to reckoned with in the near future.

Glad that's not in katakana. Then it would be REALLY hard to read.

Meh. Kanji/Hiragana and Katakana are easy to read any direction. Well...not easy to read...but...it makes no difference.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, more than 70 percent of Manziel’s rushing yards (475) have come on scrambles. That’s 90 more scrambling yards than Denard Robinson, Braxton Millerand Collin Klein combined.
Manziel leads the SEC in rushing touchdowns (seven), 20-plus yard rushes (nine) and rushing yards per game (79.1) when scrambling.
LSU’s opponents are averaging 7.7 yards per rush on 11 scrambles this season. And on third down, where Manziel leads the nation with 12 rushing first downs on third down and at least 5 yards to go, LSU opponents are averaging 11.5 yards per scramble and have three first downs on six scrambles, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
