No QBs drafted from State in 30 years. Impressive.

Included distinctions for your list, but they ended up last post on the second page, if you want to add those.

ETA: Nevermind. Capstone delineated them a bit better.

I'd say Tyler will be drafted.

Normally when someone talks about a school being the U of a position they usually point to the success of those players in the NFL after they graduate. UT has put more QB's into the NFL than any other school in the SEC.(draft wise)

I agree with this. How they perform in the NFL has little to do with where they went to school in most cases. Obviously it CAN BE an advantage, but look at QB's like Favre, Rothlesberger (sp?), Romo, etc...

Only way to judge the "U" status is overall draft picks and how high they went.

Just to be clear.

I'm kind of curious which SEC team has graduated the most draftees who went on to win the Super Bowl.

Is that bait? Because Alabama has the most former QBs to win the Super Bowl. It's a tie with Purdue nationally.

Yeah and so was Brad Smith. Either way they were QB's that were drafted. Don't be jealous.

No. I was genuinely curious.

That wasn't the point, nor is it relevant to the reply. Regardless, Alabama switched to the wishbone in 1971 devaluing a pro-style QB for the next 15 years, until Mike Shula in the mid-80s. Alabama continued to have run based offenses since.
