Past is in the past. Going forward being in the SEC vs B12 was going to remain an advantage. Surely you aren’t this dumb.

Aggy and Texas have accomplished exactly the same since you ran to the SEC for shelter.

That is to say,

This mythical advantage you think you’ve had sure seems pretty insignificant.

They thought they won a natty by simply joining the SEC. They didn’t realize the SEC picked them only for market and recruiting. They didn’t realize that their little brother self was in no position to dictate terms to the SEC.

Everyone else knew all of this 10 years ago. They deluded themselves into thinking the move would permanently elevate them to national prominence.

Basically they were short sighted.

The dumb thing is thinking that you could dictate to the conference to retain that advantage.

Little fact A&M fans should have realized is that Texas likely could have pulled that lever whenever they wanted. If you didn’t realize that all along it was because you stuck your head in the sand.

The answer to the OP is "not really". Snakey sure hasn't shown A&M anything approaching support. I expect he would be happy if we just disappeared. If we were to be on the borderline of the playoffs again this year, I expect to be left out because the conference will do nothing to support us
