I also get the feeling we were about 7-10 years late on this whole Austin thing. In another decade or so it will be just another city in Texas. It's a shame because you can see the remnants of what probably used to be a great town slowly dying out.

Try 75 years.
Austin wasn't any different 7-10 years ago. Just a little less traffic.
Get outta ATX for a few weekends. It's not representative of Texas.

Why would I do that? Austin is the only place in Texas I don't hate.

Maybe a few parts of San Antonio

Oh and there's like 1 bar in Houston I like.

Wow. I've lived here all 40 years of my life, and even I haven't been everywhere in this state. My hat is off to you for accomplishing such a feat.

Sorry our coach has a personality outside of football. Oh wait I'm not. It's part of why we have the country's best recruiting class. Next.

This could be applied to some of your fan base as well, when it comes to NOLA.

Sumlin has been lucky in being at the right place at the right time. His success has been do to Holgorsen, Keenum and Manziel. He's always had the great OC/QB.

At some point, it might be time to start considering that the common denominator has something to do with the success.

There are probably thousands of bars in Houston--several of which are owned and frequented by LSU folks (I'm certain you're aware of this, but Houston is a very "pro-LSU" city). As open-minded as ATX claims to be, I've found Austin to be one dimensional, in many ways. It's why your opinion of TX doesn't surprise me.

Home is home. And yours is obviously LA. I get that & respect the hell outta it (shite ... I've just accepted a job in another SEC state, and I'm sick about having to leave TX). But while you're stuck in Texas, give some other parts of our state a shot. We may grow on you a little.

If you can't find something to do in Houston and Dallas, you just suck at life.

They are both massive and very diverse.

Absolutely, I have been to both and lived in Houston. There was always something to do or somewhere to party

sure, i can find something to do

i just don't like either of them and would rather find something do in other places. Even outside of Louisiana. Places like Nashville, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, New York, Portland, parts of D.C. and Philly are all better, more interesting cities.

I just don't like Texas, why is that such a hard thing for you people to grasp? It's a bland, shallow place for the most part.

I will say that aTm is lucky to have a very weak schedule (excepting LSU and Bama), because they are going to crash and burn this year. Book it.

Don't confuse what you would like to see with what is likely.

It's not hard at all, it's just funny watching you squirm and try so damn hard to prove that you hate Texas out of some misguided sense of LSU pride. You think if you talk bad enough about big bad Texas, it somehow makes you a better representative of your fanbase.

I specifically took Louisiana out of the discussion. And why would that make me a better fan anyway?
