The post about my online abilities (a thing that isn't real) was in jest but the logical exercise was reality.

I agree that your online abilities are non-existent. But Saban, on the other hand, has real life experience in succeeding at whatever he pursues.

Your forty-six thousand posts only make you the best at being a severe disappointment to all those that may be unfortunate enough to be associated with you in the real world.

Your examples don't hold water.

He has real life experience succeeding at football. Please list out the other diverse catalogue of things he has done at the highest level and succeeded in? He failed at real estate development, we know that. He owns a few Mercedes dealerships. I assume he's ok at driving boats on the lake. He seems to be a decent golfer, but he's most definitely not excellent. Am I missing something else?

That's not a jab, it's just pointing out how ridiculous that point is.

You made a serious suggestion that we hire a football coach to coach basketball because he likes playing pickup ball and is elite in his very siloed profession.

Message boards are pretty stupid, I'd agree. I'm not sure why somebody who hates them so much and seems incapable of understanding the difference in satire and seriousness is posting on one.

Saban has a personality, coupled with intelligence, that makes him a success at whatever he does.

You, on the other hand, are probably only successful at keeping your keyboard halfway clean and making sure your Windows 95 OS is patched while simultaneously making an average of 80 posts a day to a sports board and you consider that a successful life.

Meanwhile, people like Saban are creating nationwide organizations to help disadvantaged and disabled children with groups like Nick's Kids.

You seem really focused on me for some reason. Like, seriously focused. Kind of weird.

Yea, Saban is awesome. He's a great football coach and has a set of principles and disciplines that would work in any environment when coupled with a deep institutional and working industry knowledge.

He also shouldn't be a big time college basketball coach anymore than he should be the CFO of Home Depot. It's confusing that someone who is clearly very impressed with their own level of intelligence is seriously trying to make your point.

I've never considered my daily post count (congrats on the impressive division skills, by the way) to be part of my life resume......but when you put it that way it does come off as pretty impressive.

I'll let my wife know. Maybe she'll get me a plaque.

Again, you are not important and your presence on this board was only brought to my attention by your participation in my thread.

Why are you obsessed with me? You seem really focused on me. Kind of weird.

Message board champion, which you consider yourself, has somehow unilaterally determined that Saban knows nothing about how to guide young men who play sports to levels of excellence you can only dream about.

Thanks for your message board analysis of Saban's abilities. I contend that he would almost immediately turn Alabama basketball into a force that would turn the very best teams of the last 80 years into a faint memory.

I mean my initial shut the fvck up post was definitely a step too far, especially because I thought it was atxgump and not a different poster.

This is a message board. People post threads literally to have interaction about the topic. Do you understand how this works?

You understand the difference in discussing a topic and whatever that whole Windows 95 schtick was, right?

I most definitely do not. Again, sarcasm meter. Use it.

Yes, I feel confident in determining Nick Saban would not be able to win at the highest levels of Division 1 college basketball. I'm also fairly confident Coach K would have trouble taking over South Carolina football and building the into a top 25 program.

I feel pretty good about that assessment.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree my good friend.

Red Auerbach and Johnny Wooden were both 5'10", so I doubt it.

Any reply you make, directed to me, is another example of obsession on your part. Isn't that how it works, according to you?

I was making an assessment of you that I feel is correct. By your very presence here and your high post count, coupled with your unwarranted arrogance, it can be determined that your life is not what you wished it to be when you were attending whatever trash public school your parents sent you to.

Well, that's just like your opinion, man. Considering your attitude, I highly doubt your opinion is valued by anyone.

Sounds great. How much do you think Saban should be paid if he were to assume the duties of head coach of Alabama's basketball team?

You should forego putting new tires on your trailer house and donate that money to the “Saban for Basketball Coach fund”
