Yep. A hapless shithole. But for some strange reason good players wanted (emphasize past-tense) to go play there.

Now they don't.

Hahahaha......you're such a delusional loser.

As long as you can be happy recollecting on that 23 year run of greatness, then yes, you will be fine.

I love watching the shorthorn fans try and strut their stuff after 2 good years which was preceded by over a decade of crap lol.

I think their fall from grace will be epic this year, if not then next year for sure once they get a competent schedule. You feasted on the softest schedule of any school on SEC, and still failed in the end.

Better take advantage of it now because it will be shifting. Then you will be back to sucking again.

I understand that the love of the game forces some of you to refuse to connect the dots. I've seen Sooner fans of both ilk. Some knew they were done 4 years ago when this NIL stuff was just heresay.

And some cling on for dear life.

Let me spell Oklahoma for you:

N-E-B-R-A-S-K-A

OU is going thru a radical change in philosophy from an offense at all cost to a more balanced approach.

It is hard to make the switch and winning with defense is way harder but more rewarding in the playoffs.

Not to mention a fanbase spoiled with offense doesn't understand that defense loves ugly and conservative.

Or maybe the year after that That's the spirit, scooter.

But the subject on hand here is - when does OU return to grace? This year? Next year? The year after that? When Gabriel blows his horn?

It's not "radical".

NOBODY wants to be a one-dimensional team anymore, and we never wanted that to begin with.

The current focus is simply on getting back to playing complimentary football on both sides of the ball, and competency in all three phases. That's not radical. It's required.

They didn't make a "big leap" last year, the thresholds were lowered.

LOL

Compared to the last 25 years, they certainly made a big leap.Once again, they were horrible in major bowls and even worse vs top 10 teams prior to last year and under Kelly.

Made a big improvement with Freeman.

Of course it is, but we can also say trending down. We have our valleys, but don't piddle in shite for too long. Hope Brent gets it figured out.

No it's not. What does how long Lincoln has been gone have to do with anything?

They actually weren't "horrible" vs top 10 teams in matchups where they had more talent and were favored, which was the case in two of their three playoff games.

The outlier was Georgia and while Georgia was more talented on paper, Notre Dame was still favored because of the quarterback injury and matchup.

Notre Dame is basically still what they were under BK, they play good defense, run the ball, and their passing attack is bad to average. They can't match up if they face a team that has elite skill talent, especially in the passing game.

None of that has changed, they did exactly what was expected vs Ohio State in the title game and Ohio State wasn't even an elite level team this year.

Shows that it's so radical a Blueblood can't make it. Not even get close to being competitive.

You keep making my point

Nobody understands your point. I don't think you understand your point. Can't make what?

You have a top defensive coach from a top program, you went from an air raid to a coach who wins by limiting mistakes and playing the stats and forcing the other team to execute versus one who could outscore 90% of team but not the ones that mattered.

You guys are heading down Nebraska road Franklin due to expectations that isn't reasonable. The best defensive players don't view OU as that destination yet.

It's hilarious to me when programs go from all offense to all defense and then suck. Doing it with defense is massively harder.

We aren't transitioning to an "all defense" team, nor is that the plan.

What "expectations" are you even talking about? And what does any of this have to do with "Nerbarsky!" and their problems?

And how to you know what "top defensive recruits" think of Oklahoma currently?

You hired an all defense coach, your too stupid to understand there is no balance, it's one of the other.

They are opposites

Not quite sure. I’d put the following before it (no particular order):
- Ohio St.
- Michigan
- Penn St.
- Oregon
- Clemson
- Bama
- Georgia
- LSU
- Texas
- Texas A&M (I hate to say this)
- Tennessee (I hate to say this)
- Florida St.
- Florida
- Southern Cal

Notre Dame caught us at a fortuitous time with all that went on.
