That was 5 years ago. Prices have gone up a little bit.

Thank you.
Now we have real numbers. The minimum per year is slightly less than Arkansas and about the same for the tickets.
$500,000 donation was for the new skyboxes at Denny. The others have been occupied and no initial payment was required.
How many club seats does Alabama have?
Arkansas hasn't had to require a initial donation because we don't have any new skyboxes. Which is not a direct income stream.

Hell I'm not sure what they are even arguing about at this point. Obviously Bama makes more money than us. That's a no-brainer. I got in around page 11 I think and just thought it was funny that we were arguing with Bama fans tonight.
Alabama does make more money than us that is not what we are talking about.

I jumped in around Page 10, skimmed page 1, assumed Mizzou-Ark pissing match and come to read Bama revenue shite.
I don't know who started what, but for my first on topic post, Missouri's football stadium failed to make the listed Top 50 in the country, and Yale/Harvard/Montana made it.

See, like I said, I have no clue.

I have no clue on an exact number, but both endzones have a few thousand club seats a piece, plus the entire West stands, lower and upper deck are chair back.
If you are seriously still trying to compare Alabama and Arkansas football revenue then stop now. Man this is getting embarrassing. Pick any aspect whatsoever of football athletics and Alabama will be vastly better than Arkansas. National titles, SEC titles, revenue, prestige, All Americans. Anything you want. Pick one. One.

At first I thought it was about who had the better stadium. Then I thought it was about who made more money off said stadium. Now I'm fricking confused as well.

Alabama has a lot more general seating than Arkansas. We almost have the same number of skyboxes with a smaller stadium and more club seating.
Therefore, our stadium revenue has more upside than Alabama especially 5 years from now.

upside
Upside? So upside is what this debate ends up amounting to? If we are talking upside then the Troy Trojans have more upside than Bama. Bama is at the top right now. As high as college football can go. We have no area left to grow in. We win more than anyone. We recruit better than anyone. We have better football facilities than anyone. Arkansas has tons of upside. I will grant you that.

Alabama structures all of their seats into zones. Each zone commands a different price, which has to be paid each year.

Lets break this down.
I will need these answers from you.
Alabama General Seating?
Alabama Skybox Seating 159 - 3,816 seats ($44,000each)*
Alabama Club Seating?
Total of 101,000
*That expansion added 38 luxury skyboxes at $500,000 initial each* Those have now been filled and will no longer count into yearly revenue stream for those will not turnover in numbers for a very long time if ever.
Arkansas General Seating - 63,882 seats
Arkansas Skybox Seating - 132 = 3,168 seats ($46,000each)
Arkansas Club Seating - 8,950
Total of 76,000.
Y'all still with me?

Stick to being an attorney please. Alabama does have a nice stadium and are on top of college football but this is not what this is about good sir.

So what are the price differences for the zones, in addition to the cost of the seat?
Posted on 1/28/12 at 1:55 am to SunHog
Sunhog like you said, Forbes has already figured all of this for you.
1 Univ. of Alabama 101,821 $71,884,525.00
2 Univ. of Georgia 92,746 $70,838,539.00
3 Louisiana State Univ. 92,400 $68,819,806.00
4 Univ. of Florida 88,548 $68,715,750.00
5 Auburn Univ. 87,451 $66,162,720.00
6 Univ. of South Carolina 80,250 $58,266,159.00
7 Univ. of Tennessee 102,037 $56,593,946.00
8 Univ. of Arkansas 76,000 $48,524,244.00
9 Univ. of Kentucky 67,606 $31,890,572.00
10 Univ. of Mississippi 60,580 $28,409,774.00
11 Mississippi State Univ. 55,082 $14,551,275.00
12 Vanderbilt Univ. 41,448 $14,152,061.00
Tide Pride made 20 million last year off of the WHOLE capacity of Bryant Denny. That includes sky boxes and everything.
Im not a money man but I very seriously doubt Arkansas can make up the approximate 23 million to catch up just from a few skyboxes and expansion.

This was my first year getting season tickets since I graduated. I paid $450 for two seats and donated $500 on top of that and was 5 rows from the top of the stadium.

I paid less for half-season tickets to the Braves that were 7 rows up in right field while I lived there. Honestly seemed like a much better deal to me.

Why are we stopping in the middle of underwriting?
We are strictly talking about stadium revenue only. Not donations, marketing, championships, fan base etc...
Stadium Revenue only.
I'm simply pointing out Arkansas will produce more STADIUM revenue after the north endzone skyboxes are completed than Alabama. Again, Not donations, marketing, championships, fan base etc...
