I'm talking more northern Mississippi, I find that coasties stick with their alliance to either LSU or Alabama
I don't see many LSU fans in northern MS at all. You'll see some Alabama fans because there are a fair amount of people that went to school there. Tuscaloosa is only a few hours from Memphis, for reference. Tuscaloosa is also only 45 minutes from Starkville

OP sees a lot of Bama and LSU hats on display in the Love's Truck Stop, while waiting for his shower # to be called, and equates this to MS residents and their fandom.

South MS is LSU/Southern Miss.
NE MS is Miss State/Alabama. North MS is Ole Miss.
Most Alabama fans in MS are trashy. I've only met LSU fans in Biloxi casinos so I can't comment

According to the NY Times, answer to OP's question is "no"

It's ironic calling a school "Moo State" when the team you cheer for literally has a cow as a mascot.
Also, No team from MS has ever lost to Kansas in football

And the person who starts the thread is a Texas fan from South Carolina.

Hell he probably started pulling for Texas when Vince young was there. My bet is he has never stepped foot in Texas Memorial Stadium.
