No idea. I don't know what expectations would/should be like. I've always been a Bama fan, we have winning records against Auburn and UT, obviously we should expect to win. Auburn and UT have it close enough too. However LSU's record against Bama is pitiful, you shouldn't be asking us you should be asking some other one-sided tiny little bro like Okie State against OU or A&M against Texas

At least you made me feel not so much like a little brother by honoring me with a response. Typical Bama fan, there is Bama, then everybody else. When you can't talk about recent history, you can only go back to the Bear days. Good luck after Saban leaves. You'll need it!!!

Bama doesnt fire coaches, wrong.

Oh let me specify the coach has to have more than 100 wins and a title. gtfo.

Because Bama never let them develop their programs. As I said, a Bama's fan argument on this is only confirmation that LSU is doing the right thing. Now why don't you start another Saban is God thread & quit worrying about what another "little brother" is doing.

For LSU to have won on 1/9/12 Miles would have needed to know how to gameplan for Alabama or at least have a plan B when Jefferson couldn't move the team, so the answer is no. But Miles didn't and he still doesn't.

LSU's passing offense has been 94th or worse six of the last seven years. The year it ranked 45th, LSU had future NFL starters at QB, running back and both wide receivers. Quarterback development has been non-existent, which, of course, makes it hard to recruit talented quarterbacks (Mettenberger was a transfer). Every year the excuses are the same -- the quarterbacks are young, LSU needs a new offensive coordinator, the quarterbacks just aren't talented, the line isn't talented, LSU needs a new offensive line coach, next year will be different...

Not my call, but the LSU AD got tired of it. Personally, I hope Miles gets another job. Whatever salary he gets paid can be deducted from the $15 million LSU owes Miles if he doesn't coach again so its a win-win. In that scenario, Miles might even inherit a team that has already developed a quarterback.

SHULA PRICE DUBOSE

Thanks for making my point for me.

Price never coached a game due to misconduct; Shula and DuBose were fired after multiple seasons below the .500 mark.

DuBose destroyed the program. He inherited a 10-win team from Gene Stallings and went 4-7 with it his very first year. And then you have the disastrous 2000 season just three seasons later.

Mike Shula went 4-9 his first season, 6-6 his second, and 6-7 his fourth. He had one season above .500 in his four seasons as head coach.

Now compare those two coaches, both of whom had a winning percentage below .600, with Les Miles and his .770 winning percentage.

Honestly, I can't really say I disagree with the L5U complaints... I just don't know that there is a better solution out there for you. And Shula and Dubose had plenty of years to try and develop the team... neither accomplished much. I do feel a bit bad for Shula cause he took over a shite storm.

Lol of course not. If Nick Saban wasn't the guy who had won 5 straight against him, he'd be fine.

They'll never admit it but that shite is so true. Miles is getting fricked by Saban envy.

No, they are still coaching at Bama... Resigned, fired, stepped down... etc... pretty much the same thing. I really don't remember the technical terms behind each... but none of them "quit".

Oh so Bama fired a couple coaches. well then.

Bama fans have done nothing but ridiculed Miles for 11 years and when LSU pulls the trigger, all of the sudden he's being wronged in some way. Like Alabam would NEVER fire a coach if he had 100 wins and a title.

Please, spare me the moral high horse Alabama is suddenly riding on. It's Iron Bowl week, go troll Auburn.

Yeah. One was 24-23 in four seasons and the other was 26-23 in the same amount of time. Both finished with two seasons below .500.

Les Miles is 110-32.

No one is saying it isn't okay to fire people. I just think it questionable to fire a man who has won 77% of his games over the last decade.

I think LSU fans think we are scared of who they might hire... yet they forget we laughed when they fired tubs, laughed when they fired fulmer, etc... etc...

After Miles gets canned... Nick only has one arse to make quit to be the only HC still standing in the SEC when he came to Bama.

No, he's getting fricked by 13-11. If Saban had that SEC record would he still be coaching at Bama?

So here's the research;
Perkins ('83-'86)
8-4
5-6
9-2-1
10-3
Losing record to Auburn & LSU, pressure from boosters so bolted to NFL

Curry ('87-89)
7-5
9-3
10-2
0-3 against Auburn so ran off

Dubose ('97-'2000)
4-7
7-5
10-3
3-8

Shula (2003-2006)
4-9
6-6
10-2
6-6
losing record to Auburn

Yea, I can see where Bama is much more patient with its coaches.
