Y’all probably did this for Gillespie, you’re a basketball school who does this and it’s cool, plus it’s driven by wanting to rub cal’s nose in it and try to make believe things will get better.

It doesn’t take away what happened here for cal, thats never happened before.

Stop with the hurt feelings.

Nope, Gillespie was probably 5000 at most, I was there.

Cal’s introduction was only open to media and big doners.

You seem like a true fan. I feel so sorry for you. Cal is there to set Brad up to take over and nothing else.

So, what you’re saying is Arkansas and Kentucky fans are the only ones that care about basketball?

Also, Cal’s press conference was on a Wednesday. Obviously, more people are going to be available to go to these types of things on the weekend.

Cal is here because Kentucky fans ran him off and he was our best option. Remember how happy you were when he left? What happened?

He's really hammering what it means to wear a UK jersey, just what we as fans want to hear.

It's amazing. I did not expect this at all. Pope is saying all the right things too. He's making it all about the school and the fans.

I heard Aaron Torres even way back saying he is a great personality and would be a good fit one day.

Good press conference. He said all the right things. Will be interested to see now what we start hearing about the current roster, recruits, and portal players in the next few days.

I work in Lexington, and I’m from the same hometown as Reed. My mom taught him in elementary school , said he had a basketball with him wherever he went.

The city and state are excited for how this team will do post Calipari era. The one and done NBA stepping stone and kneeling for the anthem steered alotta people away.

They now are jumping back on the Pope Hope train and the local kids like Reed, and Travis Perry and Trent Noah (if he can flip him from South Carolina) will definitely go a long way in helping to restore BBN back to it’s glory days.

The fact that Pope and Reed’s dad were roommates at UK and on the ‘96 Championship team also helps UK’s chances of the pride of Laurel County returning, especially after his disappointing performance in the 1st round of the Tournament.

I liked seeing the former players rallying around him.
The crowd was loud and energized. Pope did very well dealing with the press and emphasizing it is our program. He also talked about what it means to be a Wildcat.

He is embracing the BBN and they are loving him back.

I'm not sure if Reed will come back or not. He could, would love to see him in a Kentucky jersey again.

If we can claw back him, DJ, Thiero, and maybe Ugonna, keep Perry, and maybe one other recruit and get 2-4 good solid veterans in the portal, I will be very excited.
