I have been a Bama fan all my 44 years. I remember at an early age listening to epic runs by Major Ogilvie, watching Bear Bryant Sundays eating his Golden Flake chips, drinking his Coke and recapping the game from Saturday. I remember watching so many games through the years, having so many enjoyable fall Saturdays in my care free childhood years raking and playing in piles of leaves with that crisp smell of Fall in the air, anticipating watching Alabama play on TV. I remember watching Walter Lewis work his magic, the Penn State match ups when one time the punter kicked the backside of his protector and the Penn State game where Bama came back from 28 points or so down to almost win the game in the back of the end zone that was ruled incomplete and the disappointment that followed. I remember Van Tiffin's kick, George Teague's strip, Prothro's catch, and so much more. Alabama football has meant a ton to me in my lifetime and I have so many fond memories of those care free days to call on now that life's stressors have crept in...so games like the one tomorrow, this is what it is all about. We have been so spoiled through the years as Alabama fans and it continues to even be playing in the big one tomorrow night. We "lifer" type fans are very fortunate here lately especially and those of you who have grown up with similar memories can certainly relate to what all this means.

My advice on the bandwagoning is to be true to YOUR team first, but if you want to say a little Roll Tide and pump your fist tomorrow night should Bama win, feel free to do that. You can enjoy good...no great football and respect what you are witnessing, the excellence on display and if you want to make Bama another secondary fav team, do it!!!

If it's the fanbase that will melt the most if Bama wins tomorrow, then you'll be labeled a bitch. Otherwise, no one will give two shites about it.
