Must be why the coaching staff got fired.

Never claimed we won a championship every four years over that period

Then what are you claiming happens every 4 years?

Saban wins because he has superior talent 95% of the time. It's nothing more....

Even an idiot could look at the 2009 team vs the 2020 team and tell how vastly different they were.

Yeah, it's just talent. Not philosophy or schemes or anything else.

Any reason you don’t like to talk about players drafted re: ND?

1. It hasn't come up
2. It doesn't matter

Weird to act like I'm avoiding a tangential subject, though.

Over the four years prior to that 2017 game (not the 2019 one as you initially stated):

ND: Avg class rank #7

UGA: Avg class rank #9

?

Again, what rankings are you referencing?

Earlier you stated ND’s 10 year rank average of 13 would be better or comparable to any SEC West team not named Alabama.

You were clearly wrong (LSU’s average-6.2, see my previous post)

And are clearly wrong again.

Based on 247 Composite Rankings

Uga-

2016 #6
2015 #6
2014 #8
2013 #13

Average = #8

ND-

2016 #15
2015 #13
2014 #11
2013 # 5

Average = #11 (outside of the top 10)

Damn, dude. Fawx usually isn't worth wasting time on, but every now and again, it's worth reminding the board that he's a stupid hack.

Just move onto the "southern recruits are better" argument.

Frankly, ND has done fine in recruiting. Kelly has done fine as a coach at ND. He just can't win the big one.

Maybe it will change with LSU.

Where did it come up? You asked me about NFL players?

I don't care and it's a complete tangent but ND is fine in that regard:

Kelly couldn't compete because they can't recruit there!

Nope, they did pretty good. Here's a comparison.

Ok but those rankings don't take into effect the magic of southern players!

Nope, Kelly got plenty of those.

Ok but sec schools get more!

Yeah, a little but not much. In a randomly selected year, Alabama (#2 recruiting class) got 3 more from southern states.

Ok but all his southern recruits were 3 stars!

No, they weren't and look, ND currently has a bunch of 4* or better players recruited for 2023.

Um ... ok, but uh what about the NFL?

Hey! Are you ignoring the question?

No but since you brought it up here's a list of active players. ND is doing perfectly fine in this regard too.

Um. Uh ... WHAT ABOUT SOUTHERN NFL PLAYERS !?

Without looking it up, name a wide receiver or corner back from Notre Dame that's in the NFL.

Then do the same for LSU.

See the difference?

According to the list you posted LSU has TWENTY more NFL players than Notre Dame.

Guess where we get most of those players from.

You’ve literally made me more confident in Kelly

Quit this thread. You’re done.

Oh we're only comparing against LSU not the competition as a whole?

Moving goalposts does seem to be the theme of the thread though.

Looks like ND is 6th in total NFL players.

"Well of COURSE Kelly lost to Cincinnati last year, he didn't have as many southern NFL players as LSU!"

And he’ll have more at LSU
