honest question, what is the huge talent gap difference between the pro-style that Petrino ran just two years ago and the pro-style that Bert wants to implement?
When Tyler Wilson, Cobi Hamilton, Knile Davis, Dennis Johnson and Chris Gragg left- so did the offense
When we had those players we could score to cover up how bad our defense was...without them we were left with a bad defense plus no threat of a passing game
Similarly to when McFadden, Jones and Hillis left Petrino had to start from scratch his first year. Our defense wasn't good in 2007 but we could put up some points for sure in those three's last year

Looks like Tenn has a tough schedule for playing in the east. They could easily miss bowl season again, for the 4th year in a row. 4 years! Would butch have warm or hot arse if they can't win 6 this season?

People will say he isn't, but you are correct that is the dude goes winless in the league again Arkansas fans are going to want to string him up.

Petrino left no talent behind. Especially on defense. That's why we were picked last in the west before last season started.
Oldest, tiredest, most bullshite argument in college football. Every freaking fan base uses this argument when a new coach comes in and shits the bed.
Fact is that ole Bert isn't that great of a football coach. He did have a tremendous staff at Wisconsin but as far as being a coach he's a lot closer to a Brady Hoke than he is to a Nick Saban.
