quote:
He has just the personality to disrupt Dabo's recruiting stronghold in the state.
Among other things, Dabo has two major flaws that DIRECTLY led to the events of yesterday in SC.
1). They've stopped recruiting the State of SC like they used to. With their success, they've, incorrectly in my view, stopped bringing the kids to Clemson that grew up being Clemson fans and are recruiting more nationally.
2). Dabo's flat REFUSAL to use the transfer portal. For whatever reason, he thinks transfer kids are program killer and bad for locker room morale. Well Dabo, which team had players fighting on the sidelines yesterday and which one didn't?
Now with that being said, there are more D1 football players in Metro Atlanta than the entire state of SC. But getting the kids that grew up loving your program can't be understated.

There aren't many likeable SEC coaches at the moment, so by that definition he's near the top for sure.

He wasn't too well liked by Carolina fans two weeks ago, and rightly so. Their main complaint was the OC being his buddy and not taking the training wheels off the offense. Well someone seemed to have gotten through to them. That offense is nothing like the one that showed up in Gainesville 15 days ago.
