The following are facts:

-Saban, for the first time in his career, is being outrecruited on a regular basis
-He was just outcoached by a guy that was a dead man walking a month ago
-Jeremy Pruitt, his best assistant (though after Saturday he can frick off with the rest of them imo) is about to leave while Brent Key is still employed by the University of Alabama
-Brian Daboll is a failed NFL OC who was hired because he's a Belicheck yes-man

Now, I'll be downvoted and called an alter but I personally don't want to see Saban end up like Bobby Bowden and Mack Brown. I don't want to go back to the DuBose years. Maybe these things are inevitable due to the cyclical nature of the sport, but I'm not going to whistle past the graveyard while it happens.

Flame away.

Yes. He's tired of replacing coaches every year

Don't know it's been a hell of a ten year run and likely not repeated ever. That said Bama won it twonyrs ago were two minutes from winning another last year. I think as long as Saban keeps that competitive desire and doesn't long for retirement Bama will be in the hunt nearly every November and that's all you can ask.

Since the college football playoff started and they couldn't pick who they wanted to play Bama, yes it has

Just saying if it IS over, it won't be because of assistants leaving, being out recruited, etc.

It will be because HE cares about something more than football. He has talked many times about his passion for cars and his car business. If football is his top priority, he won't fall off too much if any. That's all.

Nick Saban is a lot more likely to stop caring after winning it all for a couple of years straight than he is to stop caring after losing. He hates to lose. That's what drives him. So, assuming Bama doesn't win a NC this year, that will be two years in a row. I'd bet he spends the next few months revamping any part of his program he feels has failed and comes back stronger.

In short, if you want Nick Saban to quit, let him win effortlessly for a few years. Otherwise, just accept he'll be working his arse off trying for perfection.
