Bama's been consistent but not spectacular and may have 4 out of 5 NC's. That pretty much sums up the gumps. It is a run that no one thought was possible in this day and age. Until someone beats them (and I hope we do) I don't have a problem giving them props--the team has earned it.

I don't know what it takes to be spectacular for you. I'd say the run that Bama is on and the consistency in which they dominate teams, week in and week out, is pretty damn spectacular. It is a well-oiled machine at this point.

Who gives a damn how many 1000 yard receivers we have. Bama's first 4 WR's, Jones, Cooper, White, and Norwood, will be round 1-3 NFL draft picks over next two years. That is FACT.

bama doesn't want a stand out receiver that can turn a 10 yard slant into a 50 yards td.

Got four guys very capable.

Doesn't have one wr in the top 15 in rec , tds or yards. But yeah. Such an elite wr corp.

I really hope this is a joke. Bama has had one wr selected in the first two rounds in two decades but you think you have 4 guys right now. This is why posters from other programs laugh at some gump posters.

I guess this is where I should link you to the numerous highlights of multiple Bama receivers doing just that.

Show me on here where there is one bama wr in the top 20 in yards. There isn't one. But yet GUMPS believe they have 4 Wrs that will go in the first 3 rds of the nfl draft. You can't make this shite up.

You should look at numbers before you say this. Bama's longest pass play for a td this year is 54 yards by ACooper. It's two yards longer than lsu's back up fb has for a receiving td this year.

So Bama's longest receiving td is 54 yards.
Lsu's back up fb has a receiving td of 52 yards.
Really explosive wr corp bama has there.

It's true that Alabama hasn't had a superstar WR since Julio. Cooper showed promise last year, but has struggled alittle this year. Alabama is a more run in down your throat, then play action over your head offense. You can't deny Alabama has very good receivers and Alabama's offense is always balanced yardage wise.

His name is not "Julio". His name is "Julio Jones".

Mama named him that.

Only because of injury. He is as good as any when healthy.

Come on RickDaddy, don't you know the Gumps are better at everything - not even debatable. Including cooking crawfish and boudin!!

Our running backs all seem to go in the first round, so that would be balanced.

I don't know about all that. They may get drafted but not all will in the first 3 rounds.

What? Do you know how rare it is to have 4 Wrs get drafted from the same team?

That's why I said they may get drafted.

Alabama has better luck putting TE's in the NFL than receivers.

We spread the ball around pretty well

Christion Jones - 27 receptions
Kevin Norwood - 23 receptions
DeAndrew White - 22 receptions
Amari Coopers - 20 receptions
TJ Yeldon - 14 receptions
Kenny Bell - 10 receptions
OJ Howard - 10 receptions

Then you look at LSU's statistics:

Jarvis Landry - 58 receptions
Odell Beckham - 48 receptions
Jeremy Hill - 9 receptions
Kadron Boone - 6 receptions
Terrence Magee - 5 receptions
Connor Neighbors - 4 receptions
J.C. Copeland - 4 receptions

And it becomes readily apparent why LSU will have two 1,000-yard receivers and Alabama probably won't. AJ McCarron spreads the ball around (6 WRs have a double digit number of receptions) while Mettenberger locks in on Landry and Beckham.

This is by far the best group of receivers we've ever had. It's not even debatable.

Lsu has two wr that will start in the nfl. Bama doesn't. Mett rarely needs to get to his third read. Mett locking in has served him well since he has a higher qb rating than AJ and a higher y/attempt.
