Alabama is a dynasty in the minds of the Alabama fans, but nobody else.
And UGA, UF, Mizzou, UT, Auburn, and Ohio State fans, and that's just in this thread. Let's also not forget Sports Illustrated, and Athlon Sports. But hey, you don't even know when Urbz was at Florida, so why would anyone give a shite about what you think?

If you want to call it a dynasty of good luck and favorable SEC scheduling, I could agree with that.
That, and going 61-7 while winning 3 national championships.

3 of the last 4
Two dominant title performances
A Heisman winner
One of the best defenses of all time
12-2 and 10-3 in the non title wins.
About to be 4 out of 5.

I think Sheetbend, after all these years is still upset about Coach Bryant pushing Woody's shite in.

Well, since he doesn't seem to know anything about college footballs history, I doubt he knows anything about that.

This thread is not whether Alabama has had great teams the past few years, but the key word here is few.
While Alabama has been able to string back to back national titles, the same can't be said about stringing back to back SEC titles.
Where is the dynasty?

Yes, because Bama has more NCs in the last 4 years than FSU had in that 14 year span.
Oh, and also, frick you, that's why.

Yes. Likely to win again this year.

I could care less how anyone else views what's going on right now.
I know what's happening. It's glorious, and I'm gonna enjoy every damn minute of it.

Dynasties have multiple undefeated seasons
Posted on 5/14/13 at 9:33 pm to MikeHoncho
None of this will matter once we enter the playoff era of college football and there is at least a little bit of validity to crowning a champion. But yes, Bama is a MNC dynasty for now

So, there are no NBA, MLB, or NFL dynasties?

As I said, Alabama is a dynasty in their own minds.
This thread proves it.
If not for Ohio St. being on post-season probation, Alabama doesn't even get a chance at a back to back BCS title.
If Alabama wants to claim the Fluke Dynasty for their past two titles, that is fine with me.

NawlinsTigah270, so 2003 and 2007 weren't valid?
This playoff isn't the one we need. This will be worse than the BCS with this selection committee.
And there is nothing mythical about it.

Not really in my book. Of course they were great to win but it's just not the same under the current system. I also agree this 4 team playoff isn't the answer but it's at least a step in the right direction to crowning a legitimate champion

What I saw at Aday and what Iknow of this staffs ability to develop talent from Spring through Summer and into the start of the season
This year's Bama team is gonna be extremely hard to beat, and I could give a shite about schedule "deficiencies" it's still the toughest conference in America
All this talk comparing Bama's CURRENT DYNASTY (and it is a dynasty) to OU wrecking shite in the terrible Big XII or the Miami dominance in the 80's and 90's that really was a lot more talented team just beating up on another weak schedule. I don't care how many conference titles those teams one, Bama has the distinction of winning 3 of the last 4 and back to back and that is something that is not easily done by any means.
This DYNASTY is nowhere near over, this year will be an example with the schedule Bama has, and a returning senior QB
