I guarantee you though that if/when a cadet commits a crime while at Advanced Camp Participating in ROTC they most certainly fall under UCMJ.

You seriously think that the Commander of Ft. Knox has no authority over cadets on his post every summer?

The writer of that letter is correct that Texas A&M University is not affiliated with the Military or Department of Defense as a Senior Military College.

The writer of that letter is only partially correct about ROTC cadets though. The second you sign that contract, you are absolutely subject to UCMJ and have a few benefits.

MS1 and MS2 cadets are not. MS3 and MS4 cadets are.

Now the SEC is stuck with this cult.

I don’t mind a good discussion. But damn if this dude is not dumb as a bag of hammers. We can do some good natured jabbing at each other. But the Corps of Cadets is a very unique organization that needs to be properly respected for what it has accomplished.

Anyway, what do you think of SMA Dailey wanting to go back to pinks and greens as an alternative uniform to the ASU? Optional clothing bag item. Me? I love it. Would love to see us return the ASU to just dress blues (get rid of all the crap) and wear pinks and greens for our service uniform.

The Cadets are great Soldiers who have protected Kyle Field in the time of war....
