He was really good at being a heel. People used to love to hate him. I remember when Vince McMahon was the good guy announcer. Vince and Jerry worked very well together.

I'm not going anywhere. I will start threads talking about AU football as if it never left.

$200k handshake? They needed a damn duffle bag to give Stanley McClover $10,000 in cash. $200,000 must come by way of a fricking semi.

This was stored in a underground bunker under Cecil's church.

I really don't think anything will happen to Auburn out of this Memphis issue. I have said it before but Auburn has the best NCAA Compliance Officer in College Football. I am sure Rich McGlyn has managed the risk of whatever detrimental articles are in the media tomorrow. Mr. McGlyn has very strong relationships with NCAA officers since he worked there. I am sure Rich has also counseled all coaches and players who are interviewed by the media.

Here's the latest from Phillip Marshall:
quote:
Please understand that I can't vouch for the substance of this, but the chatter I'm hearing is that this story is more about Mississippi State than any other school. As far as Jovon Robinson goes, my understanding is that the counselor has said no one from Auburn had any role in the grade-changing. Lots of assumptions are being made that it's about Auburn because Robinson signed with Auburn. Again, please don't interpret this as my saying I know what is in any story that might be written. I don't. No one at Auburn knows either. It's just talk I'm hearing. I can say there doesn't seem to be much alarm in the Auburn athletic department at this point.
