The travel expenses are going to break that school.

I wouldn't mind adding UNC and Duke if we have to add two teams.

Would be nice to see us add Southern state schools this time around...

Duke won't go anywhere without UNC, so that would appear to be a guarantee if that happens.

Miami should fit in nicely with the rest of the Big 12:
Bunch of loser schools in which their fans don't give a frick about football. And if they do, they support their teams when they are winning.

Texas reference?

Meh, that wasn't my intention but it applies to them very much so. Miami fan support is just a testament of how much the state of Florida sucks when it comes to supporting teams. Its all about coming late, not really paying attention to the game (some don't even know whats going on) and then leaving at the half to go eat congris and going clubbing in all white clothes.

Say what you will about Missouri not being a southern state and not fitting the culture blah blah blah but at least it borders a number of SEC states and the SEC states are all contiguous. That Big 12 mess makes no sense.

That's what makes me laugh about people wanting va tech or wvu. Neither state borders the SEC. We border 3

Miami has a problem many schools do not...it's a pro town through and through. If the Canes aren't doing well very few care. Plus there are are a ton of activities outside of sports. If the University decided to do away with the athletic department, in a decade I rather doubt anyone would notice.

Virginia borders Tennessee and it would also border North Carolina assuming we added a school from that state.

Could explain TCU as well. TCU in the last decade or so has been a winning program with BCS bowl game victories. Although, their alumni base is not as large as say Texas A&M or Texas, still, you would expect for them to have more fan support.
The season they won the Rose Bowl, they were not even selling out their stadium.

I don't see how people keep assuming Duke has this power of a package deal. The ONLY way those two teams are together in realignment -- are in a dying ACC. They will not be allowed to move together into either the B1G or the SEC... Such a move leaves far too much money on the table for either conference.

Oh yeah. Stanford has been winning, a top 5 school on occasion...can't sell out a small stadium. 49'ers plus a very small (but elite) alumni base.

Tcu has come a long way since 2000. They have a great looking stadium. I see a lot of tcu kids out on fall Saturdays here in Houston.
It is a private school and they have a small enrollment but they are growing in scope.
