He almost certainly will. Saban likes running two to three backs. And we'll have big time talent backing Trent up, whether its Lacy, Fowler, some guys who haven't even signed yet. Ingram and Richardson didn't even really share the carries this year, If I remember correctly Ingram had like 270 to Richardson's 140. It should be closer to 50/50 this year.
why would he change up the amount of carries when running Ingram as much as they did won Bama a NC?

Look at the improvement Ingram made from freshman year to sophomore, he was a different back, much better cuts, vision, etc. Trent will be a beast next year if he improves nearly as much so he's gonna get more carries. Not to mention he didn't even really play the first game.
But Ingram was lights out last year, he was clearly our number 1 back. He averaged over a yard more per carry with like 130 more carries than Trent, you would think it would be the other way around. But Trent was probably better than Mark was a freshman and should be improved next year.
Magilla-I'll just have to see it to believe it. It goes against what Saban likes to do and you know we'll have big time talent backing Trent up.

The OL has been a part, but many of Ingram's yards come after contact, so to just say "any back could have done that behind that OL" is not looking at the full picture.
I can't honestly say who is better at this point, I just know that I enjoy watching them slash and burn opposing defenses. And they seem to encourage and push each other to succeed, which is nice.
And they both have PHENOMENAL looking arms.

Saban has said numerous times that he prefers a 3 back system.

Yeah, this is his last year if the offense doesn't improve significantly. Last year was painful to watch.

Yeah, I was going to say, if they were at LSU, Ingram wouldn't have seen the field until Charles Scott broke his collarbone and Richardson would have been redshirted.

i still don't know why LSU didn't fire Crowton. i thought that was a sure thing after the Ole Miss game.

I was in Oxford for that game. Couldn't believe what I was seeing at the end of that game. Pathetic play calling in the last 50 seconds.

calling a NC winning coach a retard is frankly, well, retarded. if you're not going to bring anything interesting, informative or entertaining to the SECr, then at least try and be a little more creative in your flaming.

quote:I am hearing you, and I feel your pain, I wouldn't want to acknowledge it either. But remember Larry Coker was retarded too. Les Miles is the new trophy bearer for tards. It's not my fault that this is true, and everyone who denies it sounds like a blind homer. I'd rather be honest than popular.

And a NC winning coach asking a state trooper how many timeouts are left is retarded as well.
