Ingram vs. Richardson

Im sure this has been discussed a million times but there situation reminds of what LSU had with kevin faulk and cecil collins. Where Kevin Faulk was a star All SEC performer and Cecil Collins was this new incoming recruit who had more talent. Personally I think if Cecil Collins would have never gotten hurt he would have overtaken Kevin for the rest of his career. It's crazy because Kevin Faulk was amazing.
I personally think Trent Richardsen is better than Ingram and that is obviously not a knock on Ingram. Who do yall think is better? Do you bama guys think he could possibly get more carries next year than Ingram????

for sure trent richardson is a freak i mean i have never seen a rb's arms so big i met him at bww's in ttown one night,this guy is the real deal.
ingram and he will make a good pair, oh and throw eddie lacy in there and u gotta 3 headed monster

until Richardson pulls a heisman trophy home, it's hard to say that he'll have as good a college career. maybe it was the perfect storm for Ingram... who knows. but ingram could stay balanced no matter how he got hit it seemed. richardson is all muscle, and so his running style is different than ingram's.
all in all, i know what you mean about richardson.. and i know why you feel that he's the better running back. i even get the same sense, but i highly doubt he'll end up with quite the career that Ingram will end up with.
i'm just glad as HELL they're both wearing crimson.

I think TR will end up being the more attractive pro prospect. Comes off as a combination Emmitt Smith/Marion Barber.

Why? He had a better freshman year than Ingram. He probably wont have as good of a sophmore year, but his Junior year could be epic. Yeah, he is a bruiser, but he is quick as shite and makes some ridiculous cuts.

I just don't buy that Richardson was better last year, if so why did Ingram average something like over a yard more per carry?
Ingram had better vision and saw the holes better than Richardson last year IMO. But that's something that will improve for Richardson, that was Ingram's biggest problem as a freshman and he improved massively there during his sophomore year. But Richardson is more talented and I think was probably better than Ingram was as a freshman.

I dont think anyone is saying that he did better than Ingram last year, mostly due to MI getting a lot more carries. We are saying that he seems to have more potential than Ingram.
Furthermore TR did do as good as Trent last year when he got the carries.

I think people have said though (not necessarily in this thread) that they thought he was better already last year which I don't agree with. But he's not far off.

I think he was as good, at least, when he got the carries. I think he might've lost yards on only one or two attempts last year. He was an absolute beast.

So do yall think there is anyway he gets more carries than ingram. One thing about saban he always plays the best players.

He probably won't get more carries although you never know. But I think it will be closer to 50/50 (and it wasn't really close to 50/50 this year) so I think Ingram will not be in New York this year, he just won't have the stats. Two 1,000 yard rushers is not unthinkable though if our line plays as well as they did last year.

Does Alabama have there entire ol coming back? That running game was scary last year.
