Well he had some legal stuff to deal with, and he was not a guarantee to get the grades.

Are his "character issues" coming from him being a high school kid sleeping with a younger high school girl? If so, I don't see any issues with that.

I've seen Lacy run all over teams here in Gonzales. My son played for St.Amant and he would run all over us every time we played them (Dutchtown). He's the real deal. Has/had some character issues. I'm sure those are resolved. Miles should have signed this kid.

Miles should have took the kid that went to the Aggies.I heard he loved LSU.

Lacy is a true monster!!!! Will go down as a major screw-up for LSU.

I doubt lacy is better than Ingram or Richardson..

Saban sure has been fortunate in landing some talent..

LSU never had a back like Ingram...Maybe toefield but he got hurt...so who knows

JV was nice for one season

I haven't until recently followed LSU's football team much. Who have your stud players of the last ten years been. I know Dorsey. Who else? Top 5. It's looking like Peterson will be one of your best for the couple of years.

Laron Landry
Jamarcus Russell
Dewayne Bowe
Jo Addai
Josh Reed
Marcus Spears
Chad Lavalais
Ciron Black
Tyson Jackson
Brandon Lafell

That's just some of the guys.

IDK I thought Upchurch was a beast. So I think it might be hard to top this year unless you are counting Ingram and Richardson as being more experienced.

If LSU would not have picked up Ford they probably would have picked up Lacy. IMO they passed since he had grade issues, they had a deep RB depth chart already, and had a bunch of guys on the radar over the next couple of years also. LSU has RB talent coming in and you can't take them all.

Yes, I can.

You sign him, and if he doesn't qualify, you place him.

I don't understand what is so fricking confusing about this concept

He had some character issues outside of not being smart enough to graduate public high school in La. As an alumni i like the fact that he wasnt offered. Some things are more important than winning football games, once you grow up you'll realize that.

Cecil Collins. He was the best RB to stalk women. We should print T-shirts.

A lot of high school athletes are like that, dude. This guy had NO chance of ever playing Division I football until Saban got there. His grades were so low that Division I-AA schools probably wouldn't have taken him. In comes Saban and promises him a scholarship if he works hard and brings his grades up. What does he do? He works his arse off in high school, graduates, and takes summer classes to become eligible for Division I football. Now he's at Alabama and will definitely play next year.

You would have rather someone just left this kid alone and let him disappear back into the ghetto because "winning isn't everything." Some kids aren't lost causes. Saban believed in Lacy and gave him a goal to work toward. Now Lacy is going to get an education and play Division I football.
