In your opinion would college FB be any worse if we went to 40-50 super conference?

I suspect the chaos is going to grow exponentially with nil and transfers rules. At some point the govt will get involved...alas

Probably a mixed bag.

Having one commissioner that can oversee scheduling, playoff format, tv deals, postseason deals, etc would be good.

Losing much of the history and regional connectivity of programs would be very difficult to replace.

If we could have one super conference with multiple regions that protected historical rivalries I think it would probably be a net benefit.

Worse because Senators would get involved to force certain programs to "make the cut" so their state is included. It wouldn't be based on merit.

That's just a new FBS Division with 3-5 conferences.
