I'm surely expecting serious answers here Who is that coaching candidate with big wins under his belt?

Like I've stated elsewhere....

I'm glad that none of the SEC head coach search committees ended up hiring Buster Faulkner.

Although he has not been a head coach, he knows the craft. He worked under Kirby Smart and Todd Monkey and knows what it takes to elevate a team.

He would have been a perfect fit for Arkansas.

I think Joey McGuire could do well at LSU.

I'm mildly surprised Rhett Lashlee's name hasn't come up

SMU has signed coach Rhett Lashlee to a contract extension, with sources confirming to ESPN that the new seven-year deal is set to make him among the 10 highest-paid coaches in college football.

The extension, which extends the current contract by two seasons and runs through 2032, will likely ensure Lashlee returns to SMU in 2026.

Not that these things mean all that much, but he recently got extended when he got tied to the Arkansas opening.

Lane is likely a good hire. Best one this cycle.
